We sure are going to miss Francona when he is gone......

Indians continue to be the stellar pro team in C-town. Browns are making progress.

It’s too easy to say that a big bat would put us right in the mix.....but it sure would be nice to have a big bat to count on in October. Yes, I think we’ll still be playing in October.

To be fair Jensen did say 2 bats, but I'm guessing a lot of teams fortunes would change with 2 high end bats added to their lineup also.

I looks like we could also use a stopper and/or late inning bull pen arm and Hand has become Bob Wickman in that he's been giving up hits and runs lately. Not shutting out opponents like he was earlier. He has a 3.86 ERA in July and in the last seven games his ERA is 6.00! That's not going to cut it at all. And Tito has been giving him rest whenever possible. Something ain't right with Hand right now.

Now down to 1 game! The schedule gets a bit tougher coming up though as jay said a couple weeks ago. At the same time not drinking the Twins Kool Aid this year. They reminded me of the Phillies of last year, had a young rookie manager and performed over their heads until September before they collapsed.

Next year I think will be a different story for Minnesota but this year I think we win the division. Its what my gut says anyway
 
The division race is exactly what the Tribe needed to prepare them for playoff baseball and pressure situations. I expect these guys will have more of those situations coming at them from good teams and we'll see how it plays out, but yeah down to one game and the twins are the team that's really feeling the pressure. Everybody just gave the division to the twins after they went up 11 games in June.

I thought at that time we still had time to come back, but we were playing bad baseball. Good job by Tito to get these guys all moving in the same direction and without Carrasco and Kluber.

Plesac and Plutko are the rookies who have taken advantage of their time and performed well on the mound. Mercado and Luplow have contributed in the lineup and we had a chance to see Bobby Bradley get his feet wet. That's the best part of this run is that young guys have been brought up from AAA and have made an impact.

So good job by the FO to get these players and for Tito to give them opportunities.

Now, if we can just get Tito and the FO to recognize Naquin is a good player. He's a top rated defensive Right Fielder with a solid arm. Can steal a base. And he can hold is own at the plate.
 


Yeah you read Tito's lips and you can pretty much see him saying What The Fuck Is Wrong With You to Bauer. He had a rough day but hopefully he moves on.

It stinks more losing a game to the Twins. They have the Marlins coming up as well to beat up on.

The FO really wanted Franmil Reyes. He'll be around for a few years and was the key guy for us. With Puig in our lineup it really gives us a solid lineup. 'Los, Puig, Reyes, Mercado, Ramirez and eventually Bobby Bradley and Lindor is a hella strong lineup moving forward.

We still have Sunshine, Bieber and Kluber coming back to go with Cookie, Salazar and rookies Plesac and Plutko for the starting pitchers. We're good and with a top 5 bullpen and excellent manager we are legit.

The twins finally lost a game last night.

Tonight we get an actual old school double header. 2 for 1!

And swept it today! Now down to 2 games back again.

Goes without say this 4 game series coming up is important. I look at it the Twins have all the stress on them to show if they are for real this year
 
And we held on last night for the win over the twins!

Our schedule is a bit tougher than the twins down the stretch

We need a sweep here no less than 3-1
 
Nahhhh.

Just win the next game and don't worry about the schedule. We got Plutko starting tonight and our bullpen should be pretty much good to go after Bieber gave us 7 innings last night.
