The committee released their 3rd CFP poll this week with a top 10 of:

1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Georgia
5. Alabama
6. Oregon
7. Utah
8. Penn State
9. Minnesota
10. Oklahoma

Let's talk about a couple of these:

1. LSU
- Let's stop with this charade to suck off the SEC. LSU is NOT the #1 team in college football. Here is LSU's statistical rankings vs P5 teams:

- 82nd in total Defense
- 76th in YPP allowed
- 59th in scoring Defense
- 68th in rushing Defense

That is a horrific defense that is not capable of beating the best teams in college football and winning a National Championship. Do you know how I know? Do you know who this is a carbon copy of? The last 4 Oklahoma Sooner teams. Really great on offense...sucks on defense...loses in the CFP vs a good team. If LSU gets match-up with Clemson or OSU, they probably lose the Semi.

FTR - since the inception of the BCS in 1998, only 1 team has won the National Championship without a Top 25 defense, the 2010 Auburn Tigers led by Cam Newton.

2. Ohio State
- Clearly the Buckeye's have dominated the competition they've faced this season. It helps when you get archaic offenses like Northwestern, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State...who all also have QB's who can't complete a forward pass. But nonetheless the Buckeye's are cruising. They will do so again this week with overrated Penn State. PSU's back 4 on defense are terrible and posses no athleticism...and their QB also makes the forward pass look very difficult.

3. Clemson
- People who put a lot of stock into that close game vs UNC are all looking very dumb right now. Since then, Clemson has won by the largest margin of victory in college football. As Joel Klatt said the other day...nobody wants to play Clemson in the semi-final because Clemson is playing the best football in the country and won't lose that game. Good luck to OSU and LSU jockeying for #1 to avoid the Tigers.

4. UGA
- Here we are...the team who hasn't scored 30 vs a P5 team in over a year. The team whose passing game is non-existent. This is clearly SEC Bias. UGA has no business being here at #4.

5. Alabama
- More SEC Bias. Mullens, the CFP Chair, said that the committee watched their game vs Miss State and Alabama dominated the game without Tua. Really Mullens? The score was 35-7 when Tua was injured...and Alabama won 38-7. So Alabama scored 3 points without Tua...that's a dominant performance? Oh well, now with Tua out, it doesn't even matter. Alabama has zero chance to win the National Title...not that they had any before.

6. Oregon & 7. Utah
- These 2 are in prime position. Whoever, wins out will jump the 2nd SEC team and make the CFP as the 4th seed.

8. Penn State & 9 Minnesota
- So PSU and Minnesota swapped spots after Minnesota's loss last week. Both teams have 1 loss...only PSU's loss was to...wait for it...Minnesota. So how the hell is Penn State ranked ahead of the team they just lose to 2 weeks ago? Well, the committee's rationalization was that they both played Iowa and Penn State beat Iowa while Minnesota lost to Iowa. Seriously, I'm not kidding...that is what Mullens said. So the fact that Minnesota BEAT Penn State doesn't matter...how they performed vs a common opponent is all that matter. SMDH....

10. Oklahoma
- Oklahoma needs some help here. Even if they win out and win the Big 12, I think they need the Pac 12 champ to have 2 losses...and they need LSU, to beat UGA in the SEC CG.

In case some of you are wondering. Approximate Vegas lines for the current CFP Semi games and most likely national championship match-up:

Possible CFP Matchup Lines -
(via Caesars Sportsbook):

Ohio State (EVEN) vs. Clemson

Ohio State (-3.5) vs. LSU

Ohio State (-7) vs. UGA

Clemson (-3.5) vs. LSU

Clemson (-7) vs. UGA

LSU (-3.5) vs. UGA

The current match-ups (as is) would be:

Peach Bowl (in Atlanta): LSU (-3.5) vs. UGA
Fiesta Bowl (Phoenix): Ohio State (EVEN) vs. Clemson

The projected National Championship in this case: Clemson (-3.5) vs. LSU

National Championship: Clemson Tigers.

Clemson is going back-to-back. You can bank on it.
