Smart kid!

Why is this post in Church and State instead of the football board? I mean, after all, this is Baker Mayfield. But the answer is that it belongs here because it is so political (and, of course, politically correct).

Kid has a future in politics.

Message was perfectly crafted saying just the right things and avoiding the right things too. An example of politics at its best. Perfect even to the point of saying the right wrong word. Of course, he could have said that he had been "shown," but having been "showed" is so more down to earth and proletarian.

Was happy to see it, but I got a fat stack of $$$$ that he still does something political before the game. Hope not.

I would be surprised if he does anything before the game. I think his purpose in making the statement was to push aside distractions before the game. After the game is another matter. At least that is what I expect given that I think he is a smart kid. He needs to win and knows it. He doesn't need distractions going into the game.

I would never ask any athlete of any sport their political opinion and I would not ask any politician their opinion on sports. It's so simple!
