When you have a ton of talent all you gotta do is line up and play. It's so simple and Schwartz knows he has all the players he needs for his defense to be top notch.

Saints D now currently at #8 under Woods.
However, with Woods there was still the issue of games that got away due to lapses in the D.

Facing a Green Bay Packers offense without four starters – Aaron Jones, David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins and Christian Watson – the New Orleans Saints shut things down for three quarters. After that, things got out of hand quickly. That should be easy pickens for Mayfield... Woods defense is known for leaving a lot of pockets open that allows backs and TE's to be successful in shot to mid range passes moving the chains... And also factor in Carr , is injured too , I believe...

We’ve giving up 18 total points thus far.

BUT, 6 of the 18 total points came without the opposing offense getting a single first down. They started in FG range thanks to a turnover.

SO, defense is actually responsible for 12 points whereby the allowed the other team to drive into scoring range.

(opens calculator app) … That’s 4 points per game where the opposing offense actually earned the field position to garner the points.

Oh hell, let’s take to fuzzy math to the limit. Deduct the busted coverage Pickens TD, and we’re down to 1.67 points per game. :ROFLMAO:

We’ve been ignored so far this season, and preseason, for that matter. Which is fine with me. And the MNF game didn’t help.

But, as we approach mid week, it seems like the national types are starting to chirp.
