From Willoughby Ohio...
This is one loaded RB class.

Position: RB
Scheme: Zone feels like a better fit, but should have no problems with power

Physical
Height: Listed at 6 ft, probably 5' 11"
Weight: 215 lbs
Projected 40: high 4.4s, low 4.5s

Will participate in the Senior Bowl.

At just 21 years old, senior RB Kareem Hunt of Toledo is one of many great running backs available.
Unfortunately for him, that probably means that he won 't get drafted high.
Fortunately for the Browns, he should present great value if the Browns opt to draft him.

Games watched:
vs Arkansas State, Temple, Kent State, Northern Illiniois

*guessing in the offseason there will be a lot more video-material on him
***highlights were watched(think that with RBs it has a bit of merit, to see what are they, speed guys, power guys, mix etc)

Strengths:

Solid build, at 5'11" and a not-maxed-out-frame, he carries his weight very well.

Good vision, knows how to follow blockers.

Has a plethora of moves he can use on a defender.
The stiff-arm, sick spin move, but the best are his lateral moves.
He has special lateral explosiveness.
A wrong angle can be the difference between slowing him down or him juking you out of your socks.

Very good at keeping the legs churning, he does not stop moving.
At times I was fooled because he was in a pile of players and I predicted where he fell, he got more yards.
Falls forward, tough to bring down.

Good speed, can break longer gains with ease when there is space for him to run into.
When running arm tackles and weak tackles in general will be shrugged off.
Is running just a tad high, but upright runners are succeeding more and more in the NFL.

A willing receiver.

Aggressive when running.

Weaknesses:

Not the greatest of blockers(trait most rookie RBs have to work on a lot).

Strength of competition.
Not running against the Alabamas or LSUs of the world is a legit concern.
It 's not the same to fight off a 270-280 lbs DT at Kent vs a 320 man-mountains at DT for SEC, Big 10 etc.

At times will get stuck in traffic.

Doesn 't posses that breakaway gear.
While we 're at it, I got this strange feeling that he had two types of possessions.
What I mean is the ones where he runs into space and the ones where he works his way, weaves through the defense.
At the NFL level, I do think he has average acceleration.

Not the greatest of receivers, hands should be worked on.

Overall:

Talented running back out of a smaller school.
From the Cleveland area, is aggressive, has moves, has the tools.
The devalued importance of the RB position affects his stock.
He isn 't a Fournette.
But with a bit of work he could contribute in a big way at the NFL level.
Good vision helps seemingly physically limited running backs(don 't have to run 4.4 or lower, lift xxx pounds or something) stay in NFL.

My grade: 3rd round pick

Projected pick in the draft:
round 3-4-5

There 's a load of great RBs this year.
After one of my own mock drafts, I 'll have a better understanding of where exactly I think he could go).

Comparison:
With the way he runs I want to say less developed and polished Doug Martin with better lateral moves.
Do think he can become a feature back but for us, he 'd be in a competition with Crowell and Duke.
Crow 's contract is up, so the brass may well decide that they don 't want to give him the money(depends on $$$).
There are more areas of need than RB, but, if he slides and we are in position, we should get him in latter stages of the draft.
