I'll keep this short and simple. The semi finals couldn't have gone any more perfect for Clemson. The day before the Semi Finals, the Vegas look-ahead line was Clemson -3.5 vs LSU. Then LSU destroyed a really bad Oklahoma team who was without their best pass rusher and half their secondary...and Clemson beat a really good OSU team in the final minutes of the game. The over-reaction by the public caused the line to open at LSU -3 and quickly go to -5.5. As John Murray, the director of the Westgate casino in Vegas said....the line is ridiculous.

For the last 2 weeks, LSU has been getting patted on the back and told how great they are. They've been told they are a team of destiny and will destroy Clemson. Their arrogance has been on full display in interviews....starting with their cocky, arrogant, douche bag of a QB. Every national analyst has been saying they are going to destroy Clemson. The University has shut down classes today and tomorrow...and have already planned a parade tomorrow. They think tonight is a mere formality en route to their date with greatness.

Conversely, for the last two weeks. Clemson has heard they have no chance to beat LSU. Burrow and the offense is too great. LSU has beaten better defenses. LSU is at home. LSU is better at every position. Don't even bother showing up. All exactly what Dabo Swinney wanted. No coach and team plays the role of underdog better. No team in recent memory has been more successful straight up and vs the spread as the underdog in big games.

ALL OF THE PRESSURE IS ON LSU. All of it. They are at home. They are the team of destiny. They are the greatest offense we have ever seen. They have the greatest QB ever. yadda...yadda...yadda...

All that having been said, Clemson was the best team in the nation before the Semi's...and they are the best team in the nation now. Clemson has the experience. Clemson has the better coaching staff. Clemson has the better QB. Clemson has the better RB; OL. Clemson has the better Defense. Clemson will win the football game and go back-to-back.

Clemson wins 35-34.

so thats the final score and its 42-25 LSU
so I was way off
I must be getting rusty in my old age

Alabama & OSU were a combine 1 for 7 scoring TD’s in the red zone. LSU converted their RZ opportunities to TD’s. That was a huge difference. But just like the Fiesta Bowl, the better team didn’t make uncharacteristic mistakes, executed better and made the plays when it had to...and just like the Fiesta Bowl, the better team won. We don’t make excuses at Clemson. Congrats to LSU on their National Championship.

That having been said, a 14-1 season; Fiesta Bowl Champs; 29-1 in our last 30; won 2 of the last 4 National Championships; appeared in 4 of the last 5 National Championships; 5 straight ACC Championships; 5 straight college football playoff appearances...and 6 straight over rival South Carolina. Great run for Clemson football that isn’t even close to be over. We’ll be back in the CFP and the National Championship next season. #ALLIN #ClemsonFamily #BestIsTheStandard #CUinMiami #BestIsYetToCome
