Scientists Predict Coronavirus May Live For Up To Nine Days On Surfaces

Shits fucked. We just got a memo, 4 weeks until the hammer falls at work. I'm union, I've got decent seniority, but even I'm sweating. I'm like 15th on the list... either we're gonna take an hours cut (severe) or people are gonna get laid off, maybe both. Not looking forward to it.

Wishing you the best EE.

Apparently this virus started by people eating bats? I am always amazed when I read what other people eat in other parts of the world: bats, insects, dogs, cats, etc.... Vegetarian diet there anyone lol

I guess by sort of the same logic the cow is sacred in India

Simple stuff

Other than wishing everyone here and everywhere good health, I haven't been posting. seems most here are doing the same. we are being bombed with enough to read & hear.

Not going to name Names but I've seen doctors talking the past few weeks that know little about the fields they are talking about. my guess is other than filling content the doctors with knowledge are just too busy working.

Gov Cuomo (not one of my fav) did a great update today. pretty unpolitical & honest.

We are learning that the mfg of some goods in the healthcare must be moved back here asap. we all should be wearing a mask & gloves in public the past 2 months. not the n95 but the simple 3 layer. this would have slowed the spread. but we just don't have them. that's why they have not told us to do so. this alone could have saved 100s of lives imo. having a glove on will keep you from touching your face.

The actions we are taking now by shutting down nearly everything is questionable and unsustainable. 6-8 weeks of this is about all we can stand. the management from the Feds has been piecemeal. it should have been all at once from a plan made many years ago. first a 30 day outlay of shutting down the stock market, doing the things we are now doing. wearing a mask & gloves in public etc

This is what germ warfare would look like. not at all saying this was intentional but still.

So,
There I was today bored out of my mind watching Alf
while scratching my balls and never washed my hands
and later shook hands with complete strangers.... was that wrong?

Must you ask lol?

I'm stuck working during all this being in healthcare. I've long wanted to get out of the industry but that's here nor there at this point. Someone died in our facility today. Possible as a result of Corona but can't confirm. I mean wash hands, take extra precaution. What else can I do?

anyone who chooses to care for the sick is doing
something great.
No matter the rough day you may have had you
can always be proud you helped someone in the
worst moments in there life, never forget that!

On a side note I thought a little humor was needed
in this time we’re living in...

“Looks like I picked a bad week to start smoking!”

Just kidding, although I used to smoke two packs
a day, quit cold turkey ten twelve years ago.
My wife and I braved the grocery store madness
this morning, omg what a mess we spent close to
$800.00 dollars and still couldn’t get TP!!!
Now we’re in for the next two/three weeks till this
takes a turn for the better.
Be safe everyone.

First positive COVID resident where I work. Sigh.

Trying not to think too much about it. Thinking about stuff that makes me happy: Browns football (well sort of, not easy at times!), people I like care about. etc...

Relax,
Nobody can control the unknown you can
only deal with what is, testing positive isn’t
a death sentence in fact your odds are kinda
like winning the lottery, don’t forget to breathe
You do good work in healthcare and a positive
test in your world was inevitable don’t let it ruin
all the good work you do and the life you have but
if all else fails grab a xanax!

Simply the Best

First positive COVID resident where I work. Sigh.
