Seems like this is where we are headed by the end of this decade. The twitter polls says the fans are between 80% and 90% in favor of it.

And really, this state needs one. In order to host unlimited concerts, WWE, monster truck things, final 4's, the Super Bowl etc etc, we need a retractable dome.

The lakefront with a stadium built for 10 games per year just doesn't make sense.

Build the land bridge, get Cleveland and the state of Ohio a retractable dome on the north coast, develop around it, and make it great. The mayor and others have said they're "for it".

Any dry weather when the temp is > 55 degrees, leave it open. Otherwise, press the button and close it up.

Yes, yes, who is going to pay for it is always out there, but meh, what fun is that to talk about.

Won't happen with a Demonrat Mayor in control... They are anti progressive...

How come I knew Ocon would be dick riding Haslem on this?

No, no we don't need a fucking some. If you want a dime go follow the pussy ass Viqueens. This is the AFC North. This is the Cleveland fucking Browns. Or, used to be before Tennessee Jimmy showed up with all his stupid fucking ideas. We play in the elements, period. I could give two fucks if the gas station conman can't make side money hosting events at CBS.

If Jimmy doesn't like it he can take this fake ass imposter team and move it to Memphis. Fuck him.

CBD yesterday saying the Vikings stadium would be a nice starting point. They feel it's the nicest dome they've been to. Not retractable, but it is darn gorgeous.

I’m all for a new stadium, but not if it’s my taxes that goes up. Owners are billionaires. They can pay for it themselves and be just fine.

We haven’t rescinded the alcohol and tobacco tax from years ago and we’re talking about another additional tax!?? Fuck that.

Then again I don’t live in Cuyahoga county either. Where has all the tax money the past 10 years gone? Give an account of that money first. Detail if it was put into the city’s general fund and where it was spent and where it currently is going and how it was supposed to be collected, accounted for and when that tax was supposed to end.

Yeah, the money part happens everywhere and people have been outraged about it everywhere forever.
Columbus pulled it off with the Blue Jackets, so it's possible. Pretty sure Nationwide paid for the whole nugget.

I don't know what to think. I went to First Energy just a couple of years ago. I thought it was pretty nice. A couple of years before that I went to the now replaced old ATL stadium and thought it was pretty nice. I went to a game at Metlife in NYC/NJ, I thought it was pretty nice. Other than a dome or retractable roof, I don't know what one is getting for these Billions it takes.

These building cost to much. send the team to a rich city. just kidding but

60,000 fans x 10 games 600,000 charge them $100 to just pay for the building 60 million a year. that would still not be enough. over a 25-30 year lifespan.
They should have done this back in the 1990s, made the NFL give us a Super Bowl $$$. got rid of the airport build a first class Hotel and casino. exploit that Lake.

Keep in mind if it were a dome stadium or retractable roof stadium it's usage would be far more than just for 10 games a year. So the question is how much additional revenue can be generated by concerts and other events which it could be used for year round
