Jimmy Harbaugh is the most overrated coach in college football.

He was on the road to mediocrity at Stanford until a QB by the name of Andrew Luck came around. Stanford went 8-5 in Luck's first season as a starter (Redshirt Freshman) and then 12-1 with an Orange Bowl win in Luck's 2nd year. Harbaugh knew it was 'luck' and wouldn't be sustained, so he quickly bolted for the NFL.

After having a couple good season but unable to get along with management, he came back to coach his alma mater, Michigan. On the surface, a great hire. He took Stanford to a major bowl and top 5 in the country (well, Andrew Luck did...) and then took SF to the Super Bowl...he's a great coach who will bring Michigan back to their glory days of the early 1900's, right? Wrong.

I'll give Harbaugh some credit, prior to his arrival, Michigan has had just four 10+ win seasons this century...and he has had three 10 win seasons in 5 years so far. However, Harbaugh...

- has not won a B1G championship
- has not won a B1G East division championship
- is 0-5 vs Ohio State
- is 1-4 in Bowl games
- is 0-2 in Major Bowl Games
- has 1 Top 10 finish (#10 in 2016)
- is 10-14 vs Top 25 opponents (AP Poll)
- is 2-12 vs Top 10 opponents (AP Poll)

"Harbaugh is a great coach" is a complete myth. I am interested to see how much longer the Michigan faithful put up with him. Doing overly creepy things like sleeping on recruit's bedroom floor's is overlooked when you are winning. Or lying to recruits and/or hiring their high school coach to get them to come can be overlooked when you are winning. But the reality is he is not winning at the level they want/need at Michigan. Hell, beat OSU once at least.

Michigan is going to get spanked by OSU again this year - OSU once again is much, much more talented than everybody in the slow, antiquated B1G and will run away with the title. So again, when Harbaugh drops to 0-6 and another season with no B1G title goes by, how are Michigan fans and boosters going to take it? It will be interesting to say the least.
