Browns Pick #94, Dillon Gabriel QB, Oregon (aka, the Amari acquired pick)

On DG's height, I've always knocked it.
5'11" on a good day isn't going to cut it.

Then, someone usually throws back Russ and Kyler.

Well,

Russ ran a 4.55 forty, and is an elite athlete. Drafted in both the NFL and MLB.
Kyler ran a sub-4.5 forty, and is an elite athlete. Drafted in both the NFL and MLB.

Dillon runs a 4.83 and isn't physically elite at anything, which I feel is a requirement for a short QB.
Also, went to 3 successful college programs (didn't elevate messes like Sanders did). LOTS of talent around him.
And, it took him 63 games to be overdrafted in the late 3rd round.

I'm fine to be wrong on him. Just not seeing it.
Have no idea if Sanders is the answer either. We'll find out at one point this season if he can flash.

A 4.83 is a lineman’s number.(DE)
He looks like he’s in slow motion with very little acceleration.

You seem to be the one enamored with our stunted-growth, weak-armed phenom. Baker keeps getting taller. Last I heard he was up to 6'4".
Not at all. Just not willing to decide the outcome after 2 starts in the NFL.
Someone here was just saying how the Browns didn't show patience for a much beloved ex-QB of the Browns. That guy was heart broken & traumatized when BM was let loose. Remember?

Anyway:

Or the Steelers did what all the teams will do from here on out. Stop Judkins and force the QB to win the game be it Gabriel, Sanders or even Watson.

Any simpleton can see that's how to shut down this offense and it has little to do with who the QB might be. WR's aren't winning the game. TE's aren't winning the game. The OLine is trash. The offense hasn't had a basic 20 point game in a year and likely will not get one.
Re-read this one.
FWIW, Gabriel can run the offense and not throw INT's as a rookie QB, on an offense with multiple problems.

His floor is a good backup QB. Idk what his ceiling is.

Yeah, he can play a little bit!

He has taken the direction of KS. Do not turn the ball over under any circumstances. He'll take a checkdown when a better option is just barely, slightly questionable. It's obvious to me it's been hammered into his brain by the staff; no INT's!

So, what is his ceiling? Idk, but @Martin Eden and others do.

I'm not saying he's the next Drew Brees, but I don't know what his ceiling is, particularly after beating another NFL team. I'm high on Gabriel, but not married to him. Mostly because it's plain to see he can be a good backup. In his rookie season!

If I were a betting man.. I'd take your $$$ :D :D  he will not be on a roster in 2028. but I too might not make it to that date.
but remember me.
2028?!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It will always be about our D and Q, regardless of who the QB is. As far as stats go it's very much relative to play calls. When we have 6 OLinemen and a TE on the field the deep ball is not typically an option.
