[Breaking News] Chubb retires

My Favorite RB of the Browns since the Mack/Byner days. Earnest Byner was my dude. He gets a bad rapp because of the fumble. We were down to Denver 1987 Championship game.. losing 21-3 at halftime. Bernie and Byner brought us back to tie the game 31 to 31 in the 4th. Denver scored again and we marched right down the field and Byner was going in for the tying TD when Denver made a solid defensive play and caused that horrible fumble.... but let me tell you about Earnest Byner's Heroic Performance
Everyone remembers the fumble, but Byner was the sole reason we were even in the game and in position to win it. He put on an absolute masterclass as a dual-threat weapon.

We traded him for Mike Oliphant.. of course Byner went to Washington.. started and won a Super Bowl .. made that pro bowl that year with 1346 scrimmage yards..and of course Mike Oliphant... always sucked.. one of the worst trades in Browns history. They should have kept him and allowed him to redeem himself here. Sorry.. this was about Chubb... Didn't mean to blow up the thread... somehow I always feel I need to defend my earnest byner love.. NICK CHUBB... ONE OF THE GREAT BROWNS... Not a HOF career... but he put up some monster numbers... I think only 4 RB's ever have retired with a per carry average over 5 yards...
