Colts president Bill Polian says NT Ed Johnson's release was "directly related to weight" issues.
Coach Jim Caldwell had previously called it a "performance" issue, and Polian confirmed that Johnson's "effort" and "production" had dropped since Week 1. He was reportedly 15-to-20 pounds over his prescribed 295-pound playing weight. Johnson should draw interest from teams desperate to fix their run defense.

They guy he'd be replacing has "weight issues," too, so it feels like a good fit. Maybe we should bring him in, anyway...

I would say lets do it... rogers is getting old and rubin does a better job against the run and is learning to be better against the pass...rogers deserves to be on a winning team to end his career...im for a complete purge at this point lets dump DA for a low 7th pick and put ratty in while we are at it...

I cant take much more of this regime or this owner before i just no longer support the nfl alltogether or switch over to a team whoms owner has character and a mentality that matches what i miss in the old browns so the closest thing is ravens or the steelers...and i hate the ravens gay uniforms...

If you cannot get amped up to play for the Colts, and you can't keep donuts and burgers out of your mouth, no thanks. This dude plays for arguably one of the best teams in the league and he can't get his shot together for them? No thanks!
