Whats the deal with Alex Hall???

I dont see why he diddnt start in Wimbleys Absence. Every time the kid is on the field he makes a play.

Last year he was hardly in at all and he almost lead our team in sacks (with 2, lol)

this pre-season he lit it up scoring a defensive TD, and he had some sacks

Today he played for the first time with like 1 in game rep and had a fumble recovery, when is Mangini gonna put this guy in?

He got rave reviews this summer about how much he has gotten better, grown in size/speed and playing his best football yet and we have him on the bench every day while david bowens shits a storm out there.

I dont know about you all, but Im seriously considering writing Mangini a letter about his personnel decisions. We have the talent on this team, we just dont use it.

Heres for starting Hall in place for bowens next week, and Veikune for Barton for that matter. LET THE YOUNG ONES PLAY DAMNIT!

I like Hall, and Wimbley had his bst plays in the preseason when Hall was lining up as the opposite olb.
Hall can bring some heat on the passrush.
He's looked much better against the run this season when he's had a chance to play than he did last season.
Again, when playing, his coverage sklls look better than before.
I know it takes time to transition from de to olb and Kam and Hall out there at the same time might be a bit of a liability since no one on Romeo's staff could develope talent worth a damn, but I have to agree with Kam out why not start Hall or at least give him half the reps?

Great post, I have to agree, let's get these guys playing. We're 1-5 and not going to make the playoffs.

Sometimes I wonder what these coaches are thinking. Do they honestly think playing 35 year olds all game is more beneficial than playing rookies and second year players?

Sometimes playing the vets is more beneficial to some of the younger guys around them. You get to many young guys out there, you start seeing more blown assignments and freelancing, which certainly doesnt' work in this scheme.

But, situationally, there is no reason for just keeping them on the bench in favor of the vet.

Its just that other teams, at least cycle their rookies in on a semi regular basis the first season, yet this is the first time hall has gotten a Rep and its his 2nd season and he has shown nothing on the field but PRODUCTION?

I hope Mangini knows what he is doing
