The Offensive Line

I'd kinda like to see...

LT: Joe Thomas
LG: Austin Pasztor
C: John Greco
RG: Cooper/Erving
RT: S Coleman or Drango

I doubt it would happen though as it would put too much inexperience on the R side of the line.

I'd like to see Erving sit the year. He just plain sucks bad.

I remember Greco filling in at Center for Mack and we all thought Greco sucked. Now we see Greco in for Erving and it's ok, but really Erving was so shitty he makes Greco look good out of position.

I'd like to see Erving. Give him the year. We really don't have anything to gain by not seeing what he's got. He's certainly sucked, but we don't seem to have an alternative that doesn't suck considering the Bitonio injury. Cooper is certainly interesting, but he's been here a few days, I'd be uncomfortable with him starting knowing he's had mere days to learn the plays and likely only a day or two of practice to actually get some reps. That's begging for disaster.

Thomas
Pasztor
Erving
Greco
Rookie

The rookie most likely to get some time appears to be Drango, he's actually had a few snaps in heavy formations while we've not seen shit from Coleman. Damn shame. I really don't understand it. I mean, he must look TERRIBLE.

Welp, looks like it'll be:

LT: Joe Thomas
LG: Alvin Bailey
C: Cam
RG: John Greco
RT: Austin Pasztor

Bailey has done well as a pulling a guard at times. This configuration should be workable.

Rules are ONE (1) player can be called back, but they can't be called back until they are on the IR for 8 weeks. Technically that means RG3 can be called back in week 10, while Bitonio can't be called back until week 14.

I still wish Hue would spread everything out to combat the issue. He keeps trying to load up on blockers. Why? That's just more people losing their fucking battle. Load up on routes. We're actually good there with our WR depth, not to mention receiving backs, a former TE at fullback, excellent TE depth. Create match-ups and let Kessler find his man.

Pastzor called for illegal motion (his third of the year; tied for most among all NFL lineman) off a timeout!

Erving absolutely got blown up on the last sack of Kessler. I just can't watch him play football.

Thomas picks up his assignment on a play, only to see a DB blitz breaking free. So, he does what only a first ballot HOFer can do: Keeps his existing block and thrusts his left arm Rocky-style into the DB knocking him on his ass. There's just no one better.

Losing Bitonio is a huge hit to this offense. Only Thomas would hurt more.

No one can complain about Kessler. For a rookie, he looks damn good. We're going to struggle with our running game without Bitonio.

Again though, this team fights its ass off.
