It's been all veteran. His interviews reveal nothing, yet plant seeds.
Sash always sounded like a slick lawyer who preference every phrase with an implied grin as if to say (I'm not ever going to say anything).
Dorsey sounds excited. Energetic. Love of football is obvious, yet really says nothing.
He's open to trading #1, but it's likely just talk.
Saquon rumor is perfect.
Open to Mayfield? He has to say he is.

Historic draft capital, and he's smoothly cruising though in the catbird seat.

Yes, we'll see what kind of free agency success he has.
And the draft? Frankly, I'm not worried.

Well. He came out and publicly stated he hated Rosen. Then he heaped praise on Baker, along with the guy he brought in to help with the draft.

Doesn't seem like he's keeping things very close to the vest.


Unless he surprises and drafts Rosen, then I will hail him a genius.

What I expect is he will pass on QB @ 1, and draft Baker at 4. That's how backwards I feel he may be. Hopefully I am dead wrong, as it would be nice to have a GM with some common sense.

Just readin tea leaves.


Hopefully the mess he left behind at his last stop won't be recreated here, if he learned from his mistakes there, it should be smooth sailing to thee Super Bowl for us.

But at least that's dated info.
 
I have my favorites, especially being a BPA type guy, but honestly don't care who he picks at 1 and 4, QB or not. We will get 2 great players to turn this team around instantly. The only way to muck this up is by trading down from 1 or 4., although moving a couple places back from 4, depending how the draft is turning out, might be okay if we pick up another high pick.
 
Big John just set everyone into a tizzy, and now nobody knows what the heck he's going to do at the top of the draft. QB. Not a QB. Saquon. Minka. Chubb. Who knows.

And Tru Johnson + others may be inbound.

Just because I agree 100% with his political views doesn't mean I would pass up on a talent like Rosen.

Winston Churchill would be all about drafting Rosen, with the understanding that as he gains wisdom his views will likely change.

Hopefully Dorsey can get past the hat, but I doubt it. (although Mike Silver has given me hope)

These guys don't live in a vacuum - they actually have to interact with coaches, teammates, and, yes, the FO and Ownership. Not to mention fans.

Sometimes you recognize that a guy might be a square peg in a round hole. I seriously don't think Rosen wants to be here - those 'rumors' probably have basis. His agent said 'shutup kid or you might go lower and to someplace you still don't want to be'.

Instead of being thankful and grateful that his hard work has paid off, he's going to act entitled - he 'deserves' better. Just like Eli. Or Elway.

Dorsey might recognize this, assuming this isn't all a smokescreen (but then, no need to play coy when you have the #1 overall).
