I'm seriously digging Dorsey's approach so far

Looks like it was a two-round swap.

Dorsey now owns the Baker Mayfield starter kit: Tyrod + pick position...

He can take it home with him or trade it to another team in a packaged deal for picks/players/whatever.

Dorsey owns the draft any QB starter kit, vet with experience winning game, with the bonus that the vet came with zero down and is a one year rental

Ok. And if they had stayed with the team that drafted them?

Too many "what if's". What we know is they won.

Yeah. And those wins were not for teams they didn't want to play for. We know that, too. Why is that?

Elway wouldn't play for the Colts and would have re-entered the draft.

Eli...might have done the same. The point is that they didn't want to be there. The Colts realized that and traded Elway. The Chargers made a swap with the NYG on draft day.

Drafting players that make it known they don't want to be in a certain location is a bad idea. Rosen's combine answer was BS. 'Oh I don't know anything about CLE to form an opinion'.

We're expected to believe Rosen, who is no idiot, knows nothing of the Browns and CLE? It's fucking 2018 and the Internet is on your damn phone. You're telling me he isn't smart enough to bother to look ahead of time at a location he may end up in? That he doesn't follow the NFL?

Right.

BTW, I'm not so sure about this...

Right.

I mean, I don't know shit about most cities other than what's floated around pop culture.

I fully expect he's aware of the Browns themselves, though, and how horrid this franchise has been over the last two decades. Most players likely don't want to play here. Should he have said something out loud about it? No. Will he care once he's a Brown? No, as many have before him.

If you think Rosen is the best QB, you take him and don't fuck around.

Incarcerated Bob has some scary good insights. On draft night, he's one of the first people to report who's been drafted. But if true, what in the world could this be for? To move down in the draft??

I’m not buying it - tbh.

Maybe it’s the old Zona rumor: the Honey Badger + the 11th overall in exchange for the 4th overall.

That’d be 4 acquired starters in one weekend, before free agency, with still 5 picks in the first 2 rounds to go.

BTW, Incarcerated Bob usually gets pretty good tips about the Buffalo Bills' transactions. My guess is that the Browns trade their #4 overall to Buffalo in exchange for their two first-round picks (21 and 22 overall) and one of their two second-round picks. Buffalo wants their QBOTF.

  • Still 2nd in cap space after the 26 million we’re now on the hook for, at 81 mil
  • Trading Saturday draft picks for starters is wonderful
  • Both Dustin Fox and Lane Adkins saying it ain’t over
