It’s just crazy what he’s done in a little over 12 months.

I just can’t stop being wow-ed.

The only thing i can ding dorsey so far on was Chad Thomas. i have been checking out his Instagram and its all music stuff nothing about the browns the NFL ect.

Dorsey missed on on of his core principals does the guy love football. for me its easy to see his passion is music and does football for his job. you dont get good as a player when your heart isnt in it.
 
I get the feeling Dorse wants the highest paid safeties or linebackers like he wants the highest paid guards. He's laying out an actual long-term cap plan, which is very smart. QB, edge, WR, DBs, cluster your "star core" there in 2019... but get those 2/3/4-round guys preparing to step in as "quality starters" in a year or two when we let someone walk (like Zeitler).

OL, sort of depends. Green Bay way is to get them a little lower, get the right guys for your system, keep them together, and coach them up. View it as a unit.

Thomas was 3rd round pick. He has kinda met expectations. A depth player and ST contributor. It's not like a large number of 3rd round pick become top level starting talents, let alone instant top level starters.

EXACTLY what I Tweeted: Baker, Myles, OBJ, Landy, Denzel, and Greedy? The ideal Core 6 to build a team around, QB/edge/WR/CB. The Browns and Dorsey know what year it is.

A team near the top at QB, WRs, cover guys, and passrushers is gonna be one of the best teams. We are.

It always evens out when you're into the draft. You get a bloated head, the bloat gets kicked out, rinse and repeat!!

Mack Wilson in 5. Man, there were more "hot prospects" falling a shit ton than I can remember. Parris Campbell is a great example, was "rising up boards" into R1. Complete disconnect, even moreso than I can remember.
 
Another Dorsey stroke of genius is not piling up DLs when we have more than we need.

In packages (67% of the time), most of the guys actually listed as DTs will be off the field to get guys like Garrett, Richardson, and Avery on it. Garrett loves to sneak inside. The other guy would be Richardson or Ogunjobi. On run downs, Carl Davis and Coley are ideal to provide respites.

Browns resigned Davis, dig him, say he suits Wilks very well. Coley was a starter last year. Plus Zettel, Smith, and whatsisname from the U. Oh, and Devaroe.

I never quite got what was wrong with our DL depth.
 
Our DE's were not setting the edge well was the problem. That also allowed better RB's to find cutback lanes if needed. Don't you remember all those runs off the edge and then followed with a quick bam up the middle for 4-5 yards? That shit got way out of hand.
 
Lot of talk from Burns, Sobo, and others today about just how dreadful they think Williams is as a coach. He got the worst out of some damn good talent last year. Commented on lining up Schobert with about 70 yards of space around him among other things.

And of course Garrett's "two moves only" comment about Gregggg. At least the players seem to feel like we've upgraded our defensive coaching staff.
