“Living at Pebble Beach, we wear half-zips every day. Ours is comfortable and stylish on the course and classic enough to wear out to dinner.” – Jim Nantz

Jim kinda doubled down on my white guy joke here with one of the whiter sentences of the week. Is it mostly from golf culture? I feel like I've been insulated from the quarter-zip movement.

Quarter zips are the single greatest clothing item that exists. I probably own around 25-30 of them (seriously). You don't country club if you don't quarter zip.

Peter Millar makes a great, dri-fit, quarter zip called the Perth. I have 4 Clemson ones, 1 from the Masters (Augusta), and one with their skull & cross clubs logo. They aren't cheap, but the material is great. Peter Millar's dri-fit material (in polo's as well) is definitely the best on the market. I'm still kicking myself for not picking one up when I played Pinehurst last year.

I have multiple Polo RLX Golf quarters zips (from our club) and from other places. They are also pretty great.

I have the Browns, Vineyard Vines quarter zip above...probably another 6-7 columbia Clemson quarter zips and multiple other non-sports related quarter zips from Vineyard Vines, Brooks Brothers, etc...

GET IN THE GAME MAN!!!!!

One of my favorite sentences ever. Damn, dude, that is a LOT of pullovers! Then again, I have like 12 pair of Levi's 511s, like every color and fabric of that cut from greasy denim to gray flannel. And an embarrassing number of plain tees to pair with a cap and sweatpants or sweatshorts, which is what I wear when I get to stay in the 805.

I think I am, but in a lazy-ass suburban way. When we're here in the Conejo, which is super laid back and everybody knows each other, I work in pajama shorts and go out in sweatshorts, tees, and caps. Been done to wear indoor/outdoor slippers too (!).

Also use the hot tub or pool as my shower at least 3 times a week and shave almost never. I had a good sansei in KC, my buddy Large who will dress further down than any other human I know. He wore a t-shirt and one of three pairs of essentially swim shorts with Jesus sandals for an entire summer. I felt like he was challenging restaurant managers.

He's also 6'4" and 360 pounds and we enjoyed posing as The Largest Gay Couple in Kansas City. Sushi joint at Crown Center LOVED us (!).
