NFL Draft Who do the Browns want for a Receiver from the 2022 draft.

I'd like him back as long as he's not going to mope around and go into a shell. Also, at a more reasonable salary. The ball is in his court to stay or go. I don't think anyone in Berea wants him gone and I'm sure he recognizes he's not getting 16 mil from anybody next year.

I like the Cooper deal. Need to re-structure his deal to make it more team friendly. Guy is productive. Now the real question is how do we use him...that will determine if it's a good deal. We met with Landry's agent recently.. heard nothing from it so I must assume he was not open to a re-structured deal. Will Cooper coming change his mind? Kinda doubt it. I think he's looking for a new start. Too bad, he's a fighter, and a great leader. Love to see a way to have him AND Cooper together..but doubt that's gonna happen. We will trade him for a late pick or just release him... and likely take a reciever or two in the draft....but with the Cooper trade.. our first round pick is likely DE or DT..

I think I'd still like to see a WR taken at #13. look at the bengals.a DT isnt going to win us football games in todays league.
the talent of the top 6 WR is unbelievable cant pass it up for a lineman with 5 or so sacks on a season.but what If we keep landry? dont care, draft a WR at #13.our D isnt the problem,Its our passing game that blows.

I think we take a WR at 13 if Baker is gone. Otherwise it will likely be something else, as it would be a wasted pick on Baker.

Watson = WR = Superbowl window back to wide open.

Baker = Defensive stud as our only hope of getting anywhere is through a dominant defense.

It depends on the next few days of FA. We might sign another WR or a DE that seals it for what we do at 13. Or trade for a DE like that Pro Bowl DE in Minnesota Danielle Hunter.

He seems a little excited. That Lake Erie water is ice cold.

He's not worth more than two 1st round picks in any deal in my opinion. Two firsts, two seconds and two thirds is fair, but if we give them BM that changes things.

Two firsts, BM and a third is fair to me. They get a starting QB that still has a chance to play at a high level and two first round picks to boot. We at least keep a couple seconds to fill holes as they arise in some way.

Otherwise, when we need to add to a position, we will not have a legitimately high enough pick to fix it and it forces us to look in FA for the next couple years.

Don't forget we still have to resign Ward and Njoku after this season and getting Clowney under contract would be huge. Giving up those picks greatly limits how we do business in 2022 and 2023.

He is worth whatever it takes. Unless you don't want to go to a Superbowl.

2 firsts.
2 thirds.
Baker.
Ward.
Hunt.
Baker is obvious. Ward and Hunt are both in their last contract year. Hunt yeah, because we still have Chubb. Giving up Ward means we rely on Greedy as our second CB behind Newsome and AJ Green becomes as our third CB. We still do not have a second DE too.

One more thing is I'd keep Watson's current contract. That is important too.

Devante Adams is refusing to play on the franchise tag, per Rapoport.

Apparently he wanted to be the highest paid receiver in the NFL, but Green Bay franchise tagged him when the deal couldn't be reached. Now, he's refusing to play and the sides are apparently far apart.

Not of huge significance to the Browns given we've just traded for Cooper, but definitely interesting if WR could potentially still be on the cards at 13, assuming a team picking before us can land Adams.

No one will be landing Adams. He is not going anywhere

How dare you use logic and reason at this time of year.

Anyway, back to realistic possibilities.

Jags are apparently looking to move their 2020 2nd round pick after making a significant splash at WR in free agency. I felt Shenault was a little overdrafted, but I like the kid's talent overall if he comes cheap enough. He certainly hasn't been in a great environment in the swamp(ass) of Jacksonville.

He might be a little too similar to DPJ for our liking, but a name to keep an eye on.

Let’s say we no longer have a 1st, but still have a 2nd. This WR class is deep, I liked a lot of guys at the combine.
Pickens, Dotson, David Bell, Metchie and Watson (NDSU) all should be viable in the 2nd and maybe 3rd.
If we no longer have a first, its up to Berry to figure out how to get us a first 🤔
