NFL Draft Who do the Browns want for a Receiver from the 2022 draft.

I don't like any of the QB's in the draft. But Pickett is probably the best overall prospect. Basically a poor man's Carr.

But if the Browns didn't have Watson, I wouldn't want them to draft any QB's from this draft. It's just an awful QB draft.
I loved Justin Herbert in his Draft and Pickett isnt as big as Herbert, but reminds me a lot of Justin Herbert. He can run when he has to, great deep ball accuracy, really athletic. He is the only QB I really like. Ridder from Cincy could end up being pretty good but hard to get a read on him, but the rest no thanks. I dont think Pickett will be as good as Herbert, but I think he will be really good.

Its amazing what a QB can do for your franchise. I look at the Bengals, they always draft pretty well. They did pretty decent with Dalton. You had a horrible head coach in Marvin Lewis that was mediocre with some pretty talented teams. Then they get Burrow and Chase, both great players and they go to the Super Bowl. Mayfield couldnt even be as good as Andy Dalton. How pathetic is that.

I challenge anyone to name me one thing Mayfield does great. He has a strong arm big deal. Chase Daniel has a strong arm too. Jeff George had a strong arm too. It doesnt mean you are a great QB

Who are you and QCT arguing with on this one?

Nobody on the forum is arguing for Mayfield over Watson. Not one person. Not even the guys who aren't thrilled with the Watson trade. Yet you two are in every thread right now trying to bait the argument on a point nobody is making. It's getting nauseating.

This is the wide receiver thread. So unless it's about which of the two catches better or which one of us railed your mother best (It wasn't me. My heart wasn't in it. I wasn't gentle, but there was no intimacy either), I'm thinking you should get back on topic.

Haven't read the whole thread, so this is very likely an out-of-left-field post ...

Here's how I'd love AB to finish up the off season, outside of the draft

1. Get a 4th for Baker, that can turn into a 3rd if he plays "enough" reps. Gonna require patience and maybe a dash of luck.
2. Sign Will Fuller
3. Pass on Jarvis
4. Sign Jadeveon Clowney

BTW, I totally dig the Ethan Pocic signing. He's a mountain with experience and a very good guard/center insurance policy in case of injury or if Harris can't get'er done.

Also, can't wait for all of the butt-hurt Browns fans who don't like the Watson signing to either GTFO or shut-up. Haven't been here often enough for this opinion to be directed at anyone, ftr.

Pickett and Herbert are in different hemispheres as it relates to arm talent. Pickett is a poor man's version of Derek Carr.

.. We're not butt hurt.. And NO.. We wont Shut up or GTFO!... We're just disgusted by the fact they gave some dude 230 g's guaranteed without even having his name cleared of any potential wrong doing... No one here is claiming Mayfield was the end all ,be all... But when healthy ... He's well beyond serviceable.. And good enough to win... Again.. How many Superbowls did Dan Marino and Jim Kelly win LOL... They were considered elite , too...

Remarkable.
Those games would be the first I would throw out.
I wouldnt put too much value in a game where they find one or two matchup nightmares to exploit or, contrarily, where a player has a bad game because is playing with the flue or something that keeps him from performing at his normal level.

In statistical analysis its better to throw out the weird outliers because they are not representative of what you are looking for.

For a scout to focus on the outliers... you would come with a really weird scouting report.
The reason is to watch how the player reacts in times of trouble and when everything comes up roses. Scouting not only about stats like Q said. Leadership, comradery, bringing men together for a common cause and sportsmanship are evaluated too, especially at the QB position. Some lead by example, like Chubb and MG. Others are more cerebral like LB Walker. And others talk like Jarvis and Hunt.

DW better post no less than 350 yards passing per game and 3 tds per game... Anything less will be unacceptable... In my eyes...

Yeah Loved Pocic out of LSU. So true. Watson is elite something the Elf will never be on his best day. Id love to bring Jarvis back. Yes to Clowney. Yep all the Baker Bots can go follow him to the next team he loses for.

Pickett will be successful in the NFL. He is better than Mayfield right now. Im glad the Browns have Watson. I went bezerk when they passed on him in that Draft. Same reaction when they passed on Julio Jones for that Fat Slob Phil Taylor and Honey Badger for that clown McFadden.

Herbert is Elite just like Watson.

Watson is a QB. Mayfield is a thrower. Mayfield has no clue what hes doing on the field. He is always forcing passes into tight windows because he cant read a defense forcing his receivers to make miracle catches. He has no touch on his passes. His footwork is atrocious and has been since Day 1 and he has never improved it in 4 years
