Browns Game Thread Browns @ Seahawks, 10pm E.S.T.

What?? A QB who couldn't throw regularly for like 6 months has some soreness after not being limited at all through camp and throwing all through camp? Color me surprised. Much ado about nothing

NFL teams don't pay local newspapers beat writers (MKC is employed by the Cleveland plain dealer). Perhaps maybe something from back during OTA when he wasn't doing full throwing?

Here is a report from MKC back in June mini camp Deshaun Watson shows off his renewed arm strength on the final day of Browns minicamp

"To watch him unleash some of the missiles, you’d never know Watson underwent surgery just 6 1/2 months ago to repair a fractured shoulder socket and torn labrum in his throwing shoulder."

I have seen Terry Pluto note Watson arm looked as it was previously from his camp visits.

Not buying it for one second... And yes they do pay beat writers... I guess you forgot when Modell had Tony Grossi taken off the browns beat for misreporting something he didn't like... Even Lerner had reporter Brian Duffy kicked of the original 19 news tail gate show and the sports segment for reporting a story about Lerners late sister... Don't kid yourself...

That's not paying them. That is revoking their credentials. Before and after neither were paid by the team and both remained paid employees of the newspapers who employed them.

MCK saying his arm is bad, you believe. When it turns out she reports opposite can't believe for reasons....

Ok Chumlee... Have a nice day...

1. Watson's arm looks the same as it always has, and there have been tons of non-Browns NFL reporters there throughout camp, and not one has mentioned his arm looks weak, so to me, it looks normal for him. He's always been more of a dime-dropper than a bullet-thrower. Dan Patrick had someone on, and she was there on a bad offense day. She called the Browns out on it, but there was no mention of Watson's arm now looking failed. I'm more worried about Watson's head space. He's just different than he was when he was at Texas before the shit hit the fan.

2. Game day fuckers!

Yeah I'm more concerned with Watson's mental acuity & mental toughness. The physical tools are there we just have not had much of a chance to see it displayed here due to injury and when he has played he looked & played shook at times. Throwing the ball in the dirt and stuff like that.

I feel a lot better w Jameis as our back up than preseason sensation DTR.

He’s a lot like Flacco was. Slings it with production and plenty of INT’s, but younger and more of a leader than a humble vet.
