Browns Pick #67, Harold Fannin Jr, TE, Bowling Green State University

If Sanders pans out with Fannin and Judkins going beast mode, and Schwartz elite Defense, the only thing standing between The Browns and deep playoff runs is rebuilding the OL, getting better WR's and getting a new HC.
You better be prepared for maybe getting 2 out of 3 of those ideas…

I know we need to get out in front of our Oline issues. I hope they can bring back Callahan.

Salary that is leaving after this season is Njoku, Bitonio, and likely Pocic now. Possibly JOK if he retires. Jordan Hicks is off the books for next year as well as David Bell FWIW.

If all these guys are off the books combined with the cap increase, we should be able to sign a top notch Guard and/or Tackle to go with a WR or TE not named Njoku.

I would say Bito and POC definitely out.. Bito is disintegrating right before our eyes..... It's becoming painful to watch.. I thought by the tone of JOk's last soc media post its 50/50 he'll be back... I hope so because I love his motor.. but that neck can only take so much pounding... It will depend on whose coaching next season if they want Njoku back.. But I'm perfectly okay moving on with Fannin..

Not a bad thing (I had him on mine. Won the whole thing. 2nd year in a row. Had Bijan too though)

I think it was CBD who told the NFL Combine story of when Fannin ran a 4.71 40, Stefanski pumped his fist saying "yes, he's slow!".

I don't know who is responsible for the shift in draft philosophy this year, but keep it up. Draft on-field dudes, not combine/metrics dudes.

Interesting point on Jaxson Dart:

The Giants gave up 2 3rd round picks in addition to the 2nd round pick to move up to select Dart. So, the Browns would've potentially had to give up the ability to select Carson Schwesinger or Quinshon Judkins and Harold Fannin to acquire Dart.

We’ll know in a few years who was right.

A classic example of forget, or at least minimize, the metrics and just draft the guy who plays the position well...

He's a beast... He should far superceed what Njoku was/is.... Chief is pretty damn good all things considering.. I'm not sure where Likely ranks in the grand scheme of things.. My guess is he would rather follow Harbaugh based on historical output (Coaching)... Experience ECT.. Hard to say until that bridge is crossed... There are a couple of interesting kids in the draft to consider.. But we need an all purpose blocker type to pair with Fannin...

That's where Sal comes in baby!!

A lot of that BS is put out by FO's of teams to try to get competition to waste time analyzing things that don't matter. Agents too.

At the Senior Bowl there was a lot of talk, for a minute, about Iowa Guard Gennings Dunker. He's most likely a day 3 pick. 😐

This really was a helluva pick and one I didn't think Berry had in him. Nothing about his physical analytics lined up with AB's history, other than in-game production numbers.

Let's hope AB learned a ton by drafting pure football players last year, which is what happened with Graham, Schwes, Fannin, etc.

There's a good chance Berry has learned and it might be one of the reasons Depodesta and his mind set ended up going back to baseball with the Rockies. It's just my 2cents but Depo's departure in Nov. might be related to Berry liking the results he got from picking football players that had a record of producing rather than workout warriors.

I think to draft well one has to have a bit of both data combined with football aptitude.

I think this draft is where AB separates. Whether it's a positive or negative separation remains to be seen and we can't assume AB
drafted with 0 input from DePo. The organization with Depo was a collaborative. It could easily have been Schwartz who gave AB a green light for both Graham and Schwesinger.
