Well this team has dug one hell of a hole for itself.... It is very unlikely they are coming back... The question is.. Are they gonna fight.. Or just give it away?... This team will NOT win a championship as it is presently put together... Not enough heart.. The had the height advantage and still couldn't win.. While Kenny has a lot to do with it.. I can't blame him entirely... Harden is too old and needs to retire... Mobley and Allen need to work on FT shooting and being more assertive and aggressive early in the game.... Ditch the dead weight like Larry Jr... Shroder is getting up there in years as well.. This team needs to get younger and faster.. I'm not all that sure acquiring LBJ and Giannis is the answer either... This team may need to take a couple of steps going backward before it can go forward... It's just how it is...

I've watched some of the playoffs and the NBA is largely just a pussified product they put out since the 90's for lack of a better way to put it. My theory on why there are all these blowouts in the playoffs is the dependence on the 3 point shot. Then when that's not clicking for the team they actually go to double down on it more to try and get back in the game. And defense well yeah it's just not our night so to hell with it. The Knicks are a good team that plays like a team but these games are just way way entirely too easy for them.

For the Cavs it largely starts with Atkinson to me. I know it's not 100% on him as you said but that was so inexcusable Game 1 to still have timeouts remaining after that 22 point comeback. Even me who never played high school b ball knows that's on the coach to get his guys to regroup and make adjustments. And or if they are winded to catch their breathe a little. Or at least try. That game and coaching job right there showed me it's not happening with him.

I actually wish they would eliminate the 3.. It would make the game interesting again.. And the 12 foot jumper would become a staple in the offense again.. or.. What they should do is curb the time in the game with the 3 pointer is allowed much like they do in Hockey or Soccer for the uncontested power shot.

Back in the day Mark Price tearing up those 3 point shooting contests were some of my fave memories growing up watching the game.

The game has very much evolved though from then. Yeah I say maybe pushing that shit back more a couple feet for the 3 ball. Or raising the rim. It makes the game in general a tough sell to me to watch how it is.
