NFL Draft Pick #86, Austin Barber, LT, Florida

[OconRecon]

Another strong week for Barber
(An improved week for Fano too)

[OconRecon]

Not among rookies
Not among guards
He’s at the top for all lineman
Now, just one sack and the numbers all change but who cares.
The goal is above average line play.
So far so good.

We shouldn’t touch E. Jenkins or A. Barber. Leave them right where they are.

[jaydog]

Same for Fano. We've got a good rookie foundation to build off of. Man if Brailsford were to come on and push E Jenkins?

Straight fire!

[OconRecon]

Dude was our top rated lineman vs the Steelers, and for that matter, the top graded offensive player overall.
This guy is good.

Round 3 is where you can get a good starting Guard, TE or Safety.

QB's, Tackles, and DE's not so much.

[Martin Eden]

I watched Barber pretty close last night. I think we got a winner. Berry hits again.

Barber with another solid performance. No splash blocks to pump his grade, but he's still the top G in his class.

[jaydog]

Barber has fit right in at RG and made everyone forget about the old guy, Wyatt Teller.

Fano had a much easier job to play better than that stiff Jed Wills or Cam Robinson or whoever was there the past few years.

[OconRecon]

Wyatt Teller

Zero snaps for Teller this year. Is he still in the league?

Zero snaps for Teller this year. Is he still in the league?

Wyatt who?

[jaydog]

He was good when he was here until that last injury in his 2nd last year I think. He just wasn't the same afterward.

[jaydog]

THE BARBER!

[Martin Eden]

I said earlier that McNeil-Warren was the steal of the draft. If not him, then "The Barber." @jaydog That's going to stick.
