NFL Draft “No Matter What” 2026 (what to do @ 6)

Understanding, barring a Justin Gilbert 2.0 dealeo, we’ll likely give the benefit of the doubt to the first round selection. Probably.

I’m thinking it’ll be Tate vs OT vs elite defender too hard to pass up (Styles, Downs, etc)

The Browns still need the offensive weapon.
At the top of this draft both Tate and Love are prime candidates.
I still want Tate.
I fear the Giants will grab Tate at the 5 spot.
If he's gone then a small trade down and trying to get Love makes sense.
Love would make a nice consolation prize.

Arizona takes Love
Giants take Tate
And then we're stuck with the choice of taking an elite defender (Reece, Styles, Downs, etc) vs taking OT vs WR2

And, if we go defender at 6, then WR at 24, the top tier OT's will be gone, and we'll have to talk ourselves into Dawand Jones's weight loss efforts, and then draft a developmental guy like Bell

Warhop is said to strongly prefer huge OT's. Markel Bell had a very good playoff run. He's 6'9", 345, and a true LT. There's a coach out there who said they felt "no big deal, our edges will get around him ... but he was just too big, and we couldn't do it". Something along those lines.

That'd put our LT's at 6'8" 350 and 6'9" 345. That ought to make Warhop a happy man.

FWIW - Rizz says Monken wants Tate, but Chopz says (from a reliable source) that Kayden Proctor is in-play at 6.

tate or a modest trade back where options abound at OT & WR. fano,freeling or proctor be there.
berry goes D at 6? he gets fired.period. look for 5x OT/WR in the 1st rd. 10 total.

dont think because we want to trade back that this OT/WR draft is weak.
fact is the "bar" this year is high but flat.not much separates fano,freeling or proctor for example
all NFL caliber players IMO. like mayfield/allen/darnold right? who knew?
