NFL Draft - #156 WR JAMARI THRASH, Louisville |

NFL Draft #156 WR JAMARI THRASH, Louisville

I saw where he catches the ball too close to his body causing some drops. I watch the highlights and I can see it. Gator arms. Maybe with coaching and a good QB he can pick the ball out of the air more consistently.

And yet they rate our draft as a "C" by many and cite it's because of Watson and not having a 1st round pick, which I think is weird.

I'd just grade a draft on the players chosen at the time they were selected for the team in question.

We could find examples of great WR who did little in their rookie year pre season games. I'd just say don't get high or low from any performances in pre season.
Well yeah, I think we all know that. Doing nothing is concerning, and doing something, is discounted.

It's very likely he's another one of the many serviceable WR's drafted by AB.
I think, maybe, w/o looking it up, Schwartz is this highest drafted WR in the AB era. Woof.

AB did nail the Coop deal though, so there's that at least.

Bell and Schwartz were both 3rd round picks

To me it seems like always over reaction one way or the other on pre season statistical production. I try to read nothing in to it one way or the other, especially for a WR. Everything is vanilla and it's basically a glorified scrimmage. So unless you know the play call and progression for it a guys production or lack of may be dictated by one or both. So it really comes down to just looking at how guys are doing at route running

I think you have to show traits at the position and progress on one's weaknesses. Like Bell shows no separation or speed or ability to make an incredible catch. Just that he can catch the ball when it's thrown accurately to him by the QB.

Dawand Jones has a problem in the run game getting to the next level, allegedly. It's over if he gets his hands on you though. Siaki Ika had a weight problem that he never addressed and he was not a strong guy who was on his ass at times. He didn't fix it. He's gone.

You talk about pre season stats? Yeah nobody cares! Because they're scouting players not the games.
