HEY!!
Even the Chiefs suffer from half the starters are out injured late in a meaningless season!

Rooting guide for today

• Bills over Browns
• Giants over Vikings
• Titans over Chiefs
• Raiders over Texans

If the Browns lose and at least two of the other games go their way, they will be slotted into the second overall pick heading out of Week 16

Moving forward

Browns lose out
Giants beat Raiders next week (17)
Raiders beat Chiefs week 18

= Mendoza to Browns at #1 overall

EDIT - nevermind, we beat the Raiders, so they have us on the head-to-head.

So our only path to #1 is for the Raiders to win out, & the Giants to beat Dallas in week 18. Not impossible but far less probable than the incorrect scenario above.

EDIT TO THE EDIT - the first scenario is back on! SoS comes before head-to-head in the tiebreaking formula (which makes sense).

Basically, the most likely scenario is we lose out & draft Moore.

We could win one, but probably won’t.
Moore may not come out, but probably will
Mendoza may fall to us, but that’s unlikely.

So if that happens at the start minicamp, we’d likely have:

Watson, 30 years old
Sanders, 24 years old
Moore, 20 years old

If the Giants beat the Raiders next week, that puts the Raiders in the driver's seat for the #1 pick heading in to week 18. Have to imagine they'll make preparations to lose that week. ie, sit Geno Smith & give some practice squad QB a look. Getting flashbacks of a few years ago when New England was in that situation, and whoever their coach was at the time (Mayo?) benched their presumptive starting QB for some practice squad guy who came in & lit it up -- I think they may have even won the game, despite their best efforts :ROFLMAO:

The best way for the Raiders to ensure they lock up the #1 overall pick is to keep playing Geno Smith. Hopefully they stupidly swap.him out for the KC game and can eek out that win.
