Spent much of last night studying Jenkins film, some brief notes:

-Firm initial strike, independent hand usage galore in pass pro, always working to refit his hands inside to maximize his grip strength, quick to drop anchor and rarely gives up ground due to power, above average processing speed to pick up line games, will look for work when he's uncovered, lateral mirroring ability is average but he understands when he's beat on his edge and will recognize it's time to run guys up the arc, proven 4 position versatility, strong fella that can torque guys out of the play

-Best work as a run blocker comes as a puller kicking out the EMOL, can adjust his path on the fly to connect w/ targets, found the run game stuff pretty underwhelming overall with very little snap to snap consistency: flashes of him generating initial displacement on downhill runs when it all comes together but uneven pad level, hand placement, not always running his feet on contact and falling off blocks early, kept me wanting more the longer I watched.

Jenkins is an above average starter who is ideally the 3rd/4th best player on your offensive line and this price point reflects that (plus maybe some injury questions). Like the fit with Monken's scheme and the Browns desperately need bodies who can play.

This deal is surprising to me, given that he was released on an injury designation that we would pay him so well. Perhaps that is just the price we have to pay to get him in Cleveburg? That being said, leg fractures generally heal very well.. Of the three OL moved.. The trade for the RT (Titus Howard) was the best. The two free agent pickups (Zion and Elton) are MEH... but they look like guys who show up. The OL should at least be average and hopefully we still draft at least THREE in the draft. OT to start right away and 2 others to push the other guys and to develop. Our second OL draft pick should be in the 3rd or 4th round depending upon whether we trade down in the first and get some more picks. I'd love to see us scoop a first rounder for next year in case we need to move up for a QB.. Next years QB class looks pretty solid for the first 3-4 guys, but I don't claim to have great insight on this.
