It comes down to neither team capitalized on assets they traded for.
It's hard to capitalize on the guy you traded for when he plays like the worst QB in the league. It comes down to neither team capitalized on assets they traded for.
While, I would have much rather had the trade not happen. I'm kind of glad I don't have to know how it feels to watch him succeed as our QB.It's hard to capitalize on the guy you traded for when he plays like the worst QB in the league.
As much as I hated that trade, I can honestly say I never once pulled against the guy. I do think he kind of got fucked in the me too craze. I mean. . . if I were young, single, and rich like he was, I can think of much worse things to do than chasing hand jobs with money. At least he wasn't dropping babies all over Houston. While, I would have much rather had the trade not happen. I'm kind of glad I don't have to know how it feels to watch him succeed as our QB.
Shy of a Super Bowl victory, that is.
I certainly wanted him to succeed, and I'm sure it would have felt good on the surface to at least watch winning football. However seeing what the team accomplished without him vs with him in 2023, AND not getting 1 full season out of him since the trade, THAT is going to be the flavor of the lingering stench for me.As much as I hated that trade, I can honestly say I never once pulled against the guy. I wish we had gotten who they thought we were getting. The vetting process seems non-existent. And he may not be done in Cleveland. Never say never.
