Browns Game Thread Browns at Steelers Dec. 8th 1PM on CBS

There's usually a few games Tomlin's teams play down to their opponent each year.

The Thursday night win was great but I think that was part of it that night. They had a big win against Baltimore a few days prior. Was a trap game for them.

Still I expect a hard played effort...... first time to sweep them since 1988.

Nice stat Chuck. This season is a turd but a sweep of Pittspuke and Ratbirds would be cherry on top of
A pile
Of
Crap lol

Again, we have the better roster. Again, we should win.

Which has been the case for 85% of our games played this season, yet here we are. 3 wins. Everyone is happy. lol
We'd have some more wins if Watson hadn't shit the bed.

We have a better roster than Pittsburgh?

Watson is better than Wilson right now?

We have better running backs right now?

We have better receivers?

Our offensive line is better right now?

Our defense is like #23 and Pittsburgh is #7

It's kind of funny coming from you, a person who has always said it's all about the QB, that we should win because somehow our roster is better.

Our roster is going to get nothing but worse because of your guy and that fucked up trade we made for him.

"My guy". 🙄

Thank you for continuing to prove my points without realizing it. At the beginning of this season, nobody would have said Pittsburgh's roster was better than ours. Not one person. Most were picking them to be last in the division.

They were coached up. Managed correctly. And once again, they are on top. While our coach gets every excuse under the sun, their coach doesn't need any.

If you’re going to rip Stefanski for this year’s result, ya gotta give home some credit for the two playoff years as well. Can’t have it both ways. Just my 2¢.

I mean ...do I though? We are supposed to be competing for Superbowls, have we done that? I've been told for 5 straight years dark horse SB contenders during the off season. Some not so dark horse.

I've been told super deep, no holes to fill, top 3 roster ...and on and on and on.

He isn't a great coach. I want one.

Competing for Super Bowls? I'd be happy for relevance every season and a few division championships. Stefanski is clearly not the best coach in football by a long shot. But compared to the last 3 decades. . . . An NFL franchise can't be Super Bowl or bust every year. It's simply not feasible or sustainable. We have to turn into a really good team every season and hope to build up to being a contender. It's not like Vrabel or any other unemployed NFL coach is going to take this roster to the Super Bowl next season. Stefanski, in my opinion, has earned at least 2 more years to try to get us back on track. But that is going to be very difficult unless the old Deshaun Watson graces himself upon us.

He had 5 years of the best roster we have had in a generation. He failed spectacularly.

My wife once told me when she was a smoking hot young Bosnian, and I was a care free fuck off ...stop comparing yourself to the worst people to make yourself feel better about your station in life, compare yourself to the best and strive to achieve.

Our coach has failed. The zero football instincts nerd hive mind has failed. The unorthodox front office has failed.

Our fanbase used to demand so much more before the move. Sad.

Cleveland's best roster in a generation? Yeah, probably. As Ocon pointed out the other day, he was one missed spearing call from the AFC Championship the one season he had a healthy QB. You have to be realistic. A good roster without a really good QB isn't going to the Super Bowl. Baker had a great season in 2020 and we almost made the AFC Championship for goodness sakes. Since then, there is no way to make a reasonable argument we should have won it all with physically hurt Baker or mentally broken Watson.

Thank heaven. The South Bend market gets to see a Browns game instead of the Colts or Da Bears.
This is the coverage map for the Browns game in pink/red.
