NFL Draft Draft season and talk -‘26

The "Fannin-type" conversation for this draft supposedly is:

1) Justin Joly (NC State) is still the consensus pick for that exact label.
2) Tanner Koziol (now at Houston after Ball State) gets the next-most "small-school receiving specialist who could steal rounds" mentions.


 
Ok, and on tackles, here a list of LT's and RT's, because as god as my witness, if we draft another OT and throw him to the other side ....

Tackles Who Primarily/Recently Played RT in College​


Top Tier (Round 1–Early 2 range)
  • Francis Mauigoa, Miami — 3-year starting RT (2,700+ snaps); dominant run-blocker and anchor.
  • Spencer Fano, Utah — 24 starts at RT the last two seasons (only 11 at LT as a freshman); explosive athlete and top-15 overall prospect.
  • Blake Miller, Clemson — 54 career starts at RT; ultra-durable, technically sound technician.
  • Max Iheanachor, Arizona State — Full-time starting RT recently; rare athleticism and upside.

Solid Day 2 Options
  • Gennings Dunker, Iowa — Multi-year starting RT; tough, scheme-versatile with guard upside.


Tackles Who Primarily Played LT in College​


Top Tier (Round 1–Early 2 range)
  • Caleb Lomu, Utah — Starting LT the past two full seasons; natural mover with ideal length and balance.
  • Kadyn Proctor, Alabama — Multi-year starting LT (including true freshman year); massive frame with surprising quickness.
  • Monroe Freeling, Georgia — Starting LT in 2025 (and prior reps); long, athletic, high-floor pass protector.

Solid Day 2 / Early Day 3 Options
  • Jude Bowry, Boston College — Multi-year LT starter; athletic and technically sound.

Note​

  • Spencer Fano is the only notable overlap (played both), but 70%+ of his starts were at RT the last two years
 
mauinoa,proctor & freeling have the 34+ arm length we need.
we really have to sign a vet at OT.sadiq is small.could that compliment our OFF?slot?that speed!
one of those OT's will be there at #26 which opens up #6 for tate/brazell/boston/sadiq.
peps who say weak draft? the combine disagrees.
checkout sleeper 7th rd byu LB jack kelly, 10 sacks.
 
If no LT has a top 6 grade it means trade down or WR. Depending on what happens between now and the draft it could open up the possibility of Downs as the BPA if we acquire a FA WR and another guard.

There's a ton of ways to go it's crazy.

nice.really good.LT in the draft for us at #24-proctor,lomu & freeling.all have 33+ arm length
draft a wr/sadiq at 6.

the vet move at OT is great.avoids rookie failures
I think freeling would have to be the front runner for the #24 spot.
get that premier diva WR, shadiq is too small for 6 overall IMO
I like TE's - stowers,joly,trigg later in the draft.sleepers/UDFA TE - royer,koziol,cuevas.

I'm suspicious of guys who get elevated due to the combine, pro days and things other than their game film.
It might require scouts to go back and look at game film, re-evaluate and see if something was missed, then go from there.
Maybe something changes.

Freeling allowed 9 pressures on 469 pass reps last season. He was very good... not sure why he wasn't spoken about more prior to the combine.
 
It is easier to look good on the RT side,hence the RT ratings
right about freelings rise,but perceived value becomes real value.
IMO you go balls of steel and hold until 24.dont burn our '26 picks man!

you draft lomu,freeling or proctor.I dont advocate "get your guy" get one of these
anyone of those tackles could be a star.just take the best one and improve him.

lets assume tate is gone by #6.now what? we trade back for freeling.great chance DAL
would do that deal needing help replacing pass rush for 12 and 20.especially If reese is on the board.
the jets at 16 may also do a deal and they're idiots! a WR at 20 in this draft will be a #1WR quality
