Browns Free agents / agency 2026

:ROFLMAO:

Here's my weird take. I'd like to draft WR1, and pick up Hopkins on the cheap.

WR1 : Tate, Tyson, Lemon, Cooper, Concepcion, Fields etc
WR2: Jeudy
WR3: D-Hop
WR4-6: Ced and the rest

D-Hop has such amazing hands. He'd be a 1-off and cheap. If he comes, that means he's Monken-approved of course, since he's coached him

Concepcion or Fields wouldn't qualify as a WR1 for me.

WR1 in the draft for me has to come from the group of Tate, Tyson, Lemon & Boston. Cooper would be one tier down from me, but I would take him if we went OT first.

From the FA list: Pierce, Evans, Samuel and Hill won't be in our budget.

I would like to kick the tires on Doubs, Jennings,

I love Concepcion.. I get almost that slithery Webster Slaughter vibe from him...

Bond is going to be the #2 or slot reviewer . Judy moves to whichever Bond leaves clear. Our rookie whoever that is will be the #1. We still have Tillman, Corley who has great upside and thrash. We really only need a free agent to compete for the #4 spot and I don’t like any of those top 10 and I’m a big pass in Aiyuk.. injured and disgruntled ..

PSA/reminder:
  • Tampering begins at noon (TODAY) , EST
  • Teams will need to complete or designate (for Post-June 1st) cuts by then.
  • They’ll also need to complete any major contract restructures by then as well.
  • Seven teams need centers, most of whom have a ton of cap space. Linderbaum's got the market by the balls

I just wonder how active we can be in free agency with an effective cap space of around: $28 1/2 million. We are going to need 7-10 million of effective cap space just to sign the rookies we draft..especially with two first rounders.. So we actually have round 18-20 million in effective cap space for free agents.. meaning we might be able to bring in 2 higher end free agents or 3-4 mid tier players.. Our first priority is at least one more offensive lineman. I'm hoping Bitonio comes back for one year. 2nd priority is another WR.. We are bringing back Jeudy, Bond, Tillman, Thrash and Corley.. We will draft a rookie WR in round 1 or 2 most assuredly to be the new #1..I don't believe we need a top tier free agent. Just someone who can be effective when called upon or step in and be consistent if someone is injured. Guys I like to fill this role who can be had cheap so we can get a high end OL'man.. are such as (in no particular order): Marquise Brown, Christian Kirk, Jalen Nailor, Kendrick Bourne (lit it upfor San Fran last year when called upon) Tutu Atwell.... in other words guys we can sign between 3-5 million.

If that's true we can re-build the OLine easily in FA allowing us to trade down or draft one of the top 3 WR's in the draft. Even if we trade down a few spots, we can still draft one of the top 3 WR's!

Lot's of action this morning ... none from the AFCN thus far

That Pierce money is nuts, but, Indy is in such a different place than we are. They have their HC established, the know their QB1, they don't have much OL work to do etc etc. We working on all of that still

I would've loved Deebo 5 years ago... He was Lightening in a bottle... Then he got injuries and tapered off..

Quincy Williams on a 2 year deal is essentially a one year deal. I think we'll draft a LB at some point in this draft.
Otherwise we're hoping Winston Reid or Nathaniel Watson have developed to absorb some snaps.
