I'm waking up today to realize this weekend IS our free agency. I do expect more moves. And I don't expect to see much next week that's meaningful.

With the Eagles and Dolphins in the red for cap space we might see more moves with these teams.
 
Wow, lem has single handedly created a 5th Rosen hate thread.

The group think in this forum is at an all time high.

Eli and Elway both were adamant about not playing for the teams that drafted them. Rosen has come out an unequivocally stated he has no issue with Cleveland, loves the snow, and wants to be drafted #1. Neither Eli or Elway did that.

What is obvious and most likely is another player agent made the shit up to make Rosen fall, or another team that covets Rosen, hoping to get a shot at drafting him. But OK let's bash Rosen instead because it feels so good.
 
Shelton played 44% of the snaps last year. He just doesn't fit Gregg's version of a 4-3 NT. He wants guys who can penetrate. Shelton ended up being what the draftnicks kept saying he wasn't... one dimensional.

Ogunjobi (star), Coley, Brantley, and Meder all fit better. Option would not have been picked up... so we'll enjoy having that 3rd round pick in 2019 instead of nothin'. Good move.
 
I asked Lane and he said it takes two to tango.... as in ARI is holding out on the trade, for now. The joke may be on them though as FA tampering starts real soon. If the Browns sign Breeland as CB and kick the the Randall to FS, the trade is moot.
 
I'm digging what Dorsey is doing too. Doing nothing would have meant Sashimi was still running the show. He's aquiring a good mix of veterans. I don't think he's done yet either......
 
Interesting report saying Hue and Zampese were pimping for McCarron....but Haley was more sold on TT...and Dorsey goes out and gets TT.

That to me says this offense is Haley's...and Hue better realize what his role is or he will be out of a job by next year.

For the second time in less than a year, head coach Hue Jackson has been denied his former quarterback with the Cincinnati Bengals. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese and Jackson were both lobbying for the team to sign McCarron in free agency.

"There’s been a widespread expectation that the Bengals' free-agent backup would join up with former Bengals coaches Hue Jackson and Ken Zampese in Cleveland. Jackson and Zampese had lobbied for McCarron, according to sources familiar with the Browns’ plans, but the front office obviously wasn’t sold and instead acquired Taylor. This doesn’t kill McCarron’s chances of signing somewhere with a chance to be a starter; it just means that place probably won’t be Cleveland," Graziano said.

In a separate report from NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala, it was stated that offensive coordinator Todd Haley was more sold on Taylor.

Winning will cure all but this report is not going to silence the belief that Dorsey wants to bring in his own head coach.

As I said before, I know that Hue actually HIRED Haley, but I truly believe that it was a mandate to get an OC from Dorsey (backed by Haslam). The fact that this move backs Haley and not Hue seems to support that...otherwise Hue would have had enough pull to tell Haley who he wanted at QB and Haley would have fallen in line.
