they pass on tagging collins,now all this?
the ravens pass on tagging mosley and their team is being stripped out
faster than a broken down harley at sturgis

meanwhile the jets and the browns are building kingdoms
even the raiders after this years draft will be vastly improved
BIG momentum shifts in the AFC this year
this season is gonna be off-da-hook

Fantastic Peter King interview on CBD yesterday about Dorsey.

- He reveres football history more than anyone else in the NFL King knows
- Day after the draft, he went to the Hall of Fame, and he felt very good about his selections.
- It is not lost on him that turning around the Browns would place him among the lore of the NFL
- He views this as his go-for-it moment. And he's going for it. And he's here for the long haul.

That draft will be the stuff of legend. Not kidding. Once Corbett is a quality starter, you start measuring it along side other Best Drafts Ever. Like that one by the Cowboys.
 
Even if Thomas and Ratley don't work out, he will have hit on 5 players in a 7 round draft. Stupid-crazy-insane.

The chances of Mayfield, Ward, Chubb, and Callaway continuing to be highly regarded at the 3 year watermark is high.
 
Can't think of anybody I'd rather have than Dorsey right now. BB will always be one of the better GMs, but it's hard to evaluate BB's personnel moves when he's one of the best defensive minds in league history, and he's got Brady on offense. Some other flashy names out there like Roseman, Snead, and Loomis. Colbert is always good, but what Dorsey is doing right now has impressed the hell out of me.

Good time to bring up my trusty old acronym: shoot to draft STaRterS, and you have a chance to get some STARS, if you're lucky.

S = Mayfield.
T = Chubb
A = Callaway
R = Avery
S = Corbett?

That would be pretty damn impressive, to hit BINGO in one draft.

Shame he threw Thomas into that mix. Still a weird pick.
 
All I know is with all of these trades and signings, Dorsey is still in the lower half of the league in guaranteed money spent AND lower half in total contract value allocated... and still 4th in cap space.

That’s damn nice and pretty surprising. Contracts and caps were supposed to be his achilles heal. Either he’s learning, or maybe Depo is helping more than we give him credit for.

Moving Zeitler to shift tons of cap somewhere smarter, like edge rusher... and create a job opening for a near first-round guard on a light rookie deal... then getting an insurance policy like Kush...

Hey, great teams have failed to close the deal before. Bills and Chargers come to mind. Teams have "emerged" only to stub their toe (Jacksonville recently). It was all of like 3 years ago the Bengals were The Most Talented Team in the League.

Always amazes me, but the vaunted Greatest Show on Turf only won that one Super Bowl.

Shit happens. But it doesn't detract from what Dorsey has done over the last 13 months, which is Hall of Fame stuff, not exaggerating at all. He's taken a 1-31 team and in that incredibly brief period of time made them the 5th most likely team to win the Super Bowl, 3rd most likely to get there from the AFC, the favorite to win the AFCN.

They're young, they still have the 5th most cap space, they're not anchored to a ton of guaranteed money, and they have all their 2020 draft picks. It's the single most impressive piece of team building I've witnessed since I became a serious fan... and it's for MY TEAM.

Unreal.
