I'm seriously digging Dorsey's approach so far

Found it interesting that Kareem Hunt and Joel Bitonio have suggested that guys in the locker room have quit.

Dorsey might have to key in on that and consider their position moving forward. They can be mad at the coach, but there are 52 other guys in that locker room counting on you doing your job.

Literally the only player on the team who could have any right to want to quit is Nick Chubb. And that man has zero quit. Anyone else needs to start with a fucking mirror.

I don't blame him for that for several reasons.

1. Everything we saw last year indicated that Kitchens was a strong candidate.
2. Everyone in the building, including Mayfield, vouched for Kitchens.
3. Dorsey didn't hire Kitchens. The Browns had a committee of six people who determined who would be hired - Dorsey, Haslam, Johnson, Wolf, DePodesta, Berry.
4. The Browns were not wrong about Kitchens. They knew he was inexperienced and he needed to develop. I don't think their expectations were as high as ours.
5. Kitchens was a very popular hire with the fans. It's gone south, but it was popular at first.
6. Haslam reportedly wanted Gase so we were fucked anyway.
7. The Browns interviewed at least 8 candidates and apparently tried to get McDaniels in but it wasn't happening. It's not like the team didn't look hard. Kitchens interviewed well.

I'm willing to cut Dorsey some slack on that one. I don't think the mistake falls totally on him, nor should he sink with Kitchens.

We'll call that a failure on everyone's account, which isn't any more comforting.

^^^THAT^^^

Exactly where I am on this whole thing.

Ends up, the 3rd youngest team in the NFL with a new HC, OC, DC, STC, and OLC is more of a borderline playoff team in year 1 than a true contender for the AFC crown/ The better teams in the conference have mature staffs, like the Ravens, Pats, and Steelers.

We have a lot of high-hopes company in the "2 or 3 more wins, and we'd be fine" category, like the Cowboys, Eagles, Raiders, Colts, Chargers etc.

Oh, and Mayfield has been "off" all year ...

I'm not trying to defend Kitchens with this statement at all, but the reactions towards our season compared to the teams you've listed is utterly incomprehensible.

Compare the public and media reactions of our season compared to those teams. It's totally opposite. You'd think we're winless.

Be realistic about this.

If you fail to mention Mayfeild somewhere in this equation you might be missing something.

Fantastic rookie year, abysmal second year. This team has really come unglued and not just at the qb spot.

Not sure if Dorsey can do anything at this point to reverse the trend? But next year is critical for more than just Baker.

Yup, if Baker + Freddie played/worked this year, like they did last year, then we'd be a 8 win team with two to go, right on schedule for 10. The Vegas line was 9.5.

As we have megathreaded to death around here, if QB1 isn't playing well (for whatever reason), then the W's are hard to come by, and aren't necessarily pretty.

Aditi says Steelers players telling her OBJ did the come-get-me thing to the fucking Steelers. Dude might need to step up to a mike and talk about this. It's not cool.

My guess is Hunt's talking about a skill player who obviously isn't Chubb, which moves to the WRs mostly likely. I do think it's OBJ in spite of the blocks. It feels like his behind-the-scenes dissatisfaction might be putting off some teammates. Not sure but it feels possible.

Having two offensive players say it with some edge on it, I doubt it's about defensive players.

Lamm had a really good game before he got hurt. Glad he's on the roster next season. The little things...

BTW, Bob Evans long Tweet thread is phenomenal. It'll make y'all feel better. Lotsa mistakes made to cause Baker's regression year. I'm 100% on board, my eyes keep telling me he's a legit franchise QB put in a weird position.

Let's even allow that OBJ was included on Hunt and Bitonio's list. Did anyone actually watching the 'zona game come away believing it was one guy?

Yeah, that explains the defensive performance. It explains why Landry was so hot. It explains why we lost to a 3 win team on a 6 game losing streak with our playoff hopes on the line.

Pardon me if I stop demonizing OBJ as the singular point of "all things wrong" with this team. He may be part of it, but there's a WHOLE lot more to that story.

well JD's 2019 draft is not looking so good now
taki and redwine do not look good
robbing peter to pay paul.(RG and S) trades
have been a complete disaster
no way we keep vernon on at 15 million per
then theres the coaching choices

when you pass on obvious good choices (like GGG,deionte thompson)
and your choices bomb?
thats not good

well he's not in the hotseat yet
but another draft like last year and another season like 2019?
and he will be

Beast your a fuckin troll
Yes this is a personal attack and
Headed for Hell but I’m sick of your
Bullshit, your are not a Browns fan
You like to stir the pot but your an
Asshole white guy who tries to talk
Black in text?
Wtf?
Take your marbles and go home.

Redwine doesn't look good? Huh? He's looked very good. As far as little glimmers, he's right up there. Mack Wilson having his best game of the year doesn't hurt. Lamm was playing really well for a second straight game before getting dinged.

Obviously Chubb is a badass beast. Love Hunt both on and off the field, gotta tender him high. I guess Chad Thomas not sucking? Can't think of much more to take out of that AZ game. Rough.

Seems Black Monday may include Dorsey as well?
This totally sucks ass if true,
New GM-get rid of old G.M. players
Hire fucktard HC and minions,
Draft like morons
Rinse wash repeat
Welcome to our nightmare
