[Breaking News] Myles Garrett watch - UPDATE - TRADED TO RAMS

OconRecon

If you're juiceless, you're useless
I don't think you get better by trading away your best players.
However, I'd get it.
He's 30.
We'd need an edge back in the deal though. Wright + McGuire is one weak-ass edge room.
Grossi calling it off season bullshit. Myles will stay.

Some scenarios that're out there...

Los Angeles Rams
Jared Verse
2027 1st round pick
2029 1st round pick

Los Angeles Chargers
Tuli Tuipulotu
2027 1st round pick
2028 1st round pick

Philadelphia Eagles
Jalyx Hunt
2027 1st round pick
2027 1st round pick (Acquired in AJ Brown trade)
2028 2nd round pick

Buffalo Bills
Gregory Rousseau
2027 1st round pick
2027 3rd round pick
2028 1st round pick

I'd want three 1st round picks and a player. If we keep him that's good for us but he has a no trade clause too.
He would have to approve of where he goes so I'm guessing Pit is out.

Odds are we got the best of MG while he was here. No way, no how are we a Super Bowl contender this year or next so getting compensation for MG meant dealing him now.

Maybe we’ll get a guy who really wants to be a team leader?? I just doubt he’ll give you 20+ sacks…

We got 9 years of him and he's now 30. Agree.
There's an element of it being a bummer, but, there are not four teams in the NFL with two top-20 edges.

Texans (Anderson and Hunter)
Steelers (Herbig and Highsmith)
Rams (Garrett and Young)
Browns (Alex Wright and Jared Verse)

Verse

- 25 years old, Ohio native
- 2 years in the league
- 2x Pro Bowler
- 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year
- Lead the NFL edge in total snaps
- 124 tackles, 12 sacks, 22 TFL, 5 FF in 2 seasons
- 3 years of team control
- Myles has wanted out for a long time
- Browns now have the 2024 and 2025 DROY on the team

I'm assuming the Rams are taking on MG's whole contract too which creates a shitload of cap space.

And other big news is Bitonio decided to retire. Finally.
