TL;DR summary:

- Berry has a very professional approach to GM-ing, and has the respect of the league to be able to talk big trades without it leaking out. Drove a pretty hard bargain. Tried for three 1sts, but quickly shifted to there has to be a significant player coming back in return.
- Both the Rams and Browns handled informing Verse and Garrett in a very respectable way
- Berry is part of a sort of think tank group of executives across sports that includes St. Louis Cardinals president of baseball operations Chaim Bloom, Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti and Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas

It's racist and officially called the Fritz Pollard alliance I believe.
