Oh please. Nobody is pissing on him. He is what he is. A guy who played above expectations for about 5 weeks before teams started to figure out how to stop him.Shocker. A thread to pay respect to best QB we've had in a long, long time ....who beat the odds and came back a winner after a devastating injury, (most QBs take two years to get back to form) who gave us an exciting, winning, playoff hope-filled season ...and you have the usual JFF trolls in here pissing all over him.
You people are disgusting.

First, please chill with the "f**" stuff. It's not necessary, it's disrespectful, and it just doesn't need to be part of the conversation.Gabe.. they couldn't wait to shit on Hoyer.. And lets see how much they love JFF when he struggles and all the excuses start coming... the first one will be.. "oh,but he's a rookie"... book it. Manziel fags are so myopic it's not even funny. I don't want the kid to fail.. but theyre just putting unreal expectations on the kid before he's even played a season of football.

He is still a guy we all like, and admire...just not sure why all the worship.
I am a Browns fan...and if it is BH or JM behind center and we win...I am all in.
But the hand-wringing and blatant hatred of JM is just goofy to me.

Second, just because some are willing to take off the rosey colored glasses and see that Hoyer isn't God doesn't mean we are Manziel fans.
Third, last I saw BOTH Hoyer and Manziel played for the Browns...so openly hoping one or the other to fail is just rediculous...
...but mostly, I have not changed my analytical stance in 4 weeks. I have documented Hoyer's declining production and shown correlations to DA (scarily similar). Yet somehow I am infatuated with Manziel, when I fully expect him to have some really dificult stretches.
The only ones I see REQUIRING Manziel to be perfect are the ones complaining that Hoyer is getting a raw deal. Everyone else is basically saying "let's see what happens because this isn't working anymore".
Interesting. Almost seemed like Hoyer was trying desparately to prove he COULD go long without play action...and ended up proving the exact opposite. It's a shame. I would have loved the hometown hero to SB champ story.Mike and Mike had an interesting stat: first 9 games, Hoyer was 10-4 witha 59% completion. That's not great, but not awful. It's the last 3 games, as has been pointed out, where he fell.
What's strange is, two of those three are with Gordon, and they said half of his picks were throwing to Gordon.
Just interesting that we get Gordon back and Hoyer falls off a cliff. Still think it's time to roll with Manziel though.

I thought of that, too, but the fact is Hoyer has been trending down no matter who is on the field at WR. I just think the guy is burned out. You know, Twiz, if Hoyer sits out a game ortwo he might come back stronger than ever the next week. Think about that ...
Maybe Hoyer just isn't built to mentally take a full schedule of games.

What?.. now were the speech police?... got it... I coulkd care less honestly..,This is America the last time I checked. I didn't cite you as a Manziel Fan.. I only said the ones that are. Couldn't wait to take a shit on Hoyer. And they did. I'm just merely saying hold Manziel to the same criteria that they held Hoyer.. nothing more. Im not asking Manziel to be perfect.. just be productive.. if he's not.. he can go take a flying fuck like the rest that has tried. I was pretty lenient by saying Id only expect one to 2 victories... While he's under center.
