Browns Pick #144, Sheduer Sanders, QB, Colorado

Is there anybody on the current team able to get back up from being beaten down like Kosar was in this game?
I was at this game, too!

I watched it on TV with my father... One of the greatest moments in life to share that bond and that moment with my father was priceless.. My Dad loved the Browns and so do I... I also want to thank Mark Gastineau for helping us out.. Ironically I think Bud Carson was the DC for the Jets then...

I mean, he played like shit. This was his big moment to steal the starting job for the rest of the year and he shit the bed.

It wasn't Stefanski.

It wasn't "he didn't get first team reps."

It wasn't every excuse the MSM and EBT brigade on Twitter are trotting out.

It was Sanders. He either isn't intelligent enough to read Defenses and come up with the plays, or he continually stood there holding out on making plays because he kept waiting for a big play to unfold every snap.

I am going to go ahead and say what we already know: It was the Latter. Sanders was trying to force the D into giving him an ESPN highlight reel of a play on every snap. It didn't happen. This is the NFL, it isn't going to happen.

The Browns don't have a Franchise QB on the roster and need to draft one in the draft. Period.

Again, you're an idiot. There's a big difference between being pressed into an opportunity and being prepared by the coaches for an opportunity.

Sanders has never been a back-up QB. 2 state titles in high school. Always started in college, etc etc.
He's been bad when coming in mid-game thus far, however …

SS's only other NFL start was preseason:

Passing:
  • 14/23 (60.9% completion)
  • 138 yards
  • 2 touchdowns
  • 0 interceptions
  • Passer rating 110

Rushing:
  • 19 yards on scrambles (no designed runs)
  • 2 sacks taken
  • No turnovers
  • Led 3 touchdown drives in a 30–10 Browns win

He's a 5th rounder, and those rarely work out, but at least it's something different to look forward to.
