Browns - Pick #144, Sheduer Sanders, QB, Colorado | Page 10 | Barking Hard

Browns Pick #144, Sheduer Sanders, QB, Colorado

Probably my favorite game of Sanders. Facing his only ranked opponent in the regular season, without Hunter and 3 other WRs, he almost pulled off the upset through accuracy, decision-making, and perfect timing. It doesn't always look this good with him, but when it does, you can see why he was projected to go 1st for most of the draft season:

(A fun side-by-side comparison is Gabriel vs. Ohio State. Both games occured on 10/12, both against the top ranked opponent they'd see in the regular season)

Sure seems like Sanders calms the drama, more than bringing the circus. Keeps saying the right things so far. Keep it up 12, ignore the chatter.

Man, I love Sanders pocket mobility and awareness. I just watched him vs Baylor yesterday morning, but he is aware when the LT fails, and shifts around in the pocket with his eyes always always downfield.

I'll admit I have more hope for Sanders than Gabriel. Nothing against Dillon.

Not all winning plays on the vid below, but he never gives up. Watching every offensive play of his, it reminds you that 25 of 41 passes for 341 yards, throwing two touchdowns, and a designed rushing touchdown, doesn't mean it's all pretty. His RB's in that game where 9 carries for 22 yards, and 12 carries for 41 yards, and they are no-name RB's. It was all on Sanders.

(not trying to self post, but it's the only/easiest way I can figure out to post a vid from my phone haha).

Do we think Gabriel can do these plays on the goal line?

By every metric other than games played, Sanders is clearly the better prospect. That doesn't mean Gabriel can't be a better NFL QB, but it makes it doubtful. I'm pulling for him to prove everyone wrong and be great, but it's a long haul.

If Gabriel plays really good football he becomes tradeable along with a 1st round pick. I think the most optimal play for us is Pickett starts and does well, we trade him and add another high pick in next year's draft. The rookies play out the season, get some experience and we get our true #1 QB.

Unless one of the QB's absolutely blows up in front of our eyes. Then we have two 1st round picks to use on the best LT and Center in the draft!
