We needed a center. Brailsford is a scheme-specific center... so that tells us a little about what Monken might plan on doing. Just an OK pick for me.

I played center (D3 albeit) and it’s the one o-line position where a little lack of size can be overcome by speed and technique. One more inch and 15 pounds, and size wouldn’t have hit the radar. He’s the equivalent of 6’1” QB, rather than the equivalent of Diego Pavia.

And he’s the starting center for Bama, not Incarnate Word or some such.
