Pick #4 Denzel Ward

[Alo]

Tells me they believe in Ogbah/Garrett tandem.

Dorsey has cited Aaron Kampman (5th Round pick in '02) as one of his proudest draft finds. Hopefully, he's got his eye on some Friday/Saturday sack artists.

Also could see the team reconnect with still unsigned FA Junior Galette. With Ogbah still somewhat unrefined as a rusher (and more likely to kick inside than take reps at RE), the team still could use some depth/pass rush help.

[Stray Dawg]

Love the pick!

[Stylepoints]

Good pick.
Good player at a prime position of need.

[Gambler]

They did.. with Ogbah,Garrett, Ogunjobi and I forget who else...Cole

.....and Chris Smith from Cincy, who terrorized Kizer.

Problem with with the line is they are always hurt! No play? no win.

Just because your'e a douche who didn't get his way, doesn't mean you have to act like one...

Good argument. You forgot to add some slurs though.

[Martin Eden]

I like it.

Day 1 starter for the foreseeable future.

When did douchebag become a slur? Are you overly sensitive or something? Getting in touch with your feminine side are you?

And here we are. What a wonderful path we have taken.

Front 7 is already stacked... weakness was in the secondary..this was the final piece. Yeah. I would have liked Chubb, but can't complaint at all with this pick.

Denzel Ward - DB - Browns
Browns selected Ohio State CB Denzel Ward with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
This is a bit of a shock with NC State DE Bradley Chubb still on the board, but it is not a reach. Ward (5’11/183) rotated with Marshon Lattimore as a sophomore before exploding as a 2017 junior for first-team All-America honors with 17 pass breakups and two picks. Per PFF College, Ward allowed a stingy 35.1% completion rate in 2017 and 54.0 career passer rating when targeted. On tape, Ward showed dominant man-cover skills with fluid hips, lightning-quick feet, and blazing speed, and had a knack for forcing quarterbacks to make especially tiny-window throws to earn completions. He tested as a rare 98th-percentile SPARQ athlete in Indy, destroying the forty (4.32), vertical (39"), and broad (11’4") jumps. Be it in the slot or outside, Ward’s one-on-one matchup ability gives him the highest ceiling in this cornerback class

[Enigmatic Evil]

-Addresses one of our biggest needs
-Physical Cover corner
-Excellent Instincts
-Considered a great tackler
-And we actually draft an tOSU kid for the homers

It's like you guys forgot just how bad our defense was last year. Stopping the run was pretty much the only thing we were okay at last year. Our secondary was atrocious, teams moved the ball at will. He's a bit small but that's like the only knock on this kid.

[nickers]

While getting Chubb or Derwin James wouldve been nice... I'm glad we drafted a top rated corner.. You can slide Randall to FS you got gerbil where he needs to be now...
