Browns Pick #94, Dillon Gabriel QB, Oregon (aka, the Amari acquired pick)

1000% agree with Daryl. While Gabriel is a nice guy and a good kid, he isn't a starting caliber QB in the NFL. It was a horrible pick, and their insistence on forcing him is atrocious.
I'm not a big Shadeur fan... But at this point.. Anyone with simple observation can see Shrimp boy doesn't have it.. He might be smart , high football IQ.. But physically... He cannot drive the ball or hit the deep out with crisp consistency.. At this point I just want to see if Shadeur can ignite the team at least with a false sense of energy and hope for the offense even if it is temporary... But in reality.. I'm not far off for tanking for Mendoza/Klubnik and the best WR in the draft.. then just taking O lineman with the rest of the pics.. And I'm ready to move on from Kevin.. 6 years is long enough... Both sides need a fresh start... That's just my honest opinion.. Right or wrong..

I watch so little of College football, I don't even watch all the playoff games. yet I was drawn into Colorado with Deion. so I've seen a bit of him. Hunter playing both sides interesting. etc

The drama about this draft and now the season... it's just crazy. and that's saying something after all we've seen for the past 25+ years.
A normal season Joe would be going back in now. see what I'm saying ?

I feel very sorry for any QB that gets stuck in a Stefanski offense.

The vitriol for Gabriel is outlandish really.

This has been happening to Stefanski since before we hired him. Stefon Diggs demanded a trade in order to get out of the Stefanski clown car, but we hired him anyway.

Ownership is an absolute joke.

Yeah, we have been QB starved for decades now, so it would be nice to see what Sanders actually brings to the table. Unfortunately for us, KS, or someone else, is giving us the finger and making it crystal clear that either KS or Berry can't stand Sanders being on the team.

It's pathetic.

Put him in and let's see what's what. Or tank for a top 3 pick. Sadly even that is getting all screwed up, and it looks like KS is going to luck his way into the #6-#15 pick range and take us out of contention for a top QB while simultaneously leaving us wondering what Sanders has going for him.

My god is this putrid and disgusting.
The only thing worse on this team is Stefanski’s complete dislike of Sanders.
This team acts like they didn’t move up to get him.

It's quite unsettling we graded Gabriel as a 3rd round pick. It's equally unsettling we still think he's more talented than Sanders. I don't know. . . I'm pretty broken as a Browns fan. I don't see us working out of this for another couple of years.

40 QBs have 50+ dropbacks this season. Of those qualifiers, Dillon Gabriel ranks:

• 40th in yards per attempt (4.9)
• 40th in big time throw rate (1.3%)
• 40th in success rate (36.7%)

Flacco left and had success. Other QB's have left and have done well.

Did any of you guys think Gabriel was the QBOTF? A: Hell NO!

Outside of Flacco leaving we do not have a #1 QB. Just let that sink in. ...........
Then think about the WR's. Our WR room is ranked what? I don't even know for sure what that ranking is but, let that sink in and how that affects QB play.
It's like sending a guy to war with a 9mm pistol. Then take into account that KS is teaching these QB's to play from a Kindergarten level but, the field is the NFL.

Yeah Gabriel had all these "extra" college games to prepare. That does not equate to being prepared for the NFL, especially not even when your WR room is trash and your TE room is trash except for a rookie. Your RB room one great rookie and trash. We have rookie QB's, rookie RB's and a rookie TE. (Just stop with Njoku. He's done or has quit.)

I still like me Thrash. The kid comes through when called upon, very similar to Brian Brennan. Nothing is great, but he just makes the plays he's supposed to make. I'll take three Thrashes at WR please. The rest can watch and fill in when they get the call. Corley too. Once he gets the ball he's a beast to get some YAC.

Anyway, this is looking more & more like an OC problem and ftr KS is the offensive guy. Period. This staff was split. Schwartz is in charge of the D and KS in charge of the O. If anyone in the FO can say KS has any direction on the defense, speak up now. He's gone otherwise.

You made it that way Jimmy. This is what you claimed was organizationally correct. You are still the one guy that knows the limits of KS in the makeup of the staff. Now comes the time when you have to cut that fucking anchor off this sinking ship. Yeah it sucks were in the middle of the season. But our defense needs to see responsible actions taken for complete ineptitude by the offense. It's not right and everyone knows it. If it's something else or someone else you need to come clean with who and/or what is the problem.

We have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. That's our biggest issue right now. No QB can play well behind this group. I don't think Gabriel is terrible. I don't think Sanders will do well behind this line either. It surely doesn't help that we're a bottom of the barrel receiver corps as well. It's ugly and not going to get better this season.

Good QB's can make shit Olines look good... None of the QB's on our roster can compensate in any way for our line.. Dan Marino had an average oline most of his career and 0 running game.. And broke records.. Brian Sipe and Bernie Koxar both. had average olines.. Risen , Fike and Farren were solid but not elite by any means,, Mike Baab was a tough undersized center but not Mike Webster good..

I think Sanders has more mobility than Gabriel and more experience running for his life while in Colorado. Hope we will see.

It would help if we had better receivers. Sure is helping Joe in Cincy.

Its been stated before but getting a true evaluation of anyone in this entire organization is skewed because of verifiable complete ineptness.

Spending a 3rd round pick on DG should be front and center evidence to why the Browns will continue to struggle with the current front office AND head coach.

Even with the top pick in the upcoming draft there’s very few who think the current regime is capable of anything different than what’s been happening for the past 6 yrs….

Haslams not going anywhere either so we need to hope he snaps out of deposdesta bs train and hire some football people.
