Berry has one WTF-pick per draft.
Gabriel was it.

Are there any OSU fans who watched the OSUvOregon games last year, and thought to themselves, “if only the Browns can figure out a way to somehow draft Dillon Gabriel”.

I doubt it.

===

The big blemish on Berry’s 2025 draft class is how he whiffed on the biggest position of need. At least at this moment. Maybe Sanders balls out or maybe he hits on one in 2026, fulfilling the “2-3 year” plan to find a QB as Haslam said.

Xavier Watts is PFF’s top drafted safety and was sitting there for the taking. We drafted this shrimp instead

Agree here …

So, in the end, it looks like this is indeed the Anthony Schwartz Award Winner of 2025.
Pretty much the only draft pick without hope. He has nearly no value. Maybe not even "7th round pick swap" value in a trade.

Some have said (none here) the Browns really upset some teams by selecting Gabriel right before they intended to.
We'll see if these rumored teams come calling for a trade in the new league year.
I doubt it.

I remember him from way back and if I'm right he was a big Johnny Football guy. As most of us were at the time he was drafted.

I get caught up in that stuff too. I try to be agreeable but sometimes I get into that "I'm right about this"! mode and have to step back and breathe. I think it's my OCD & stress in general... caused by the fuckers that disagree with me!!
