NFL Draft QB Draft Watch 2026

Mendoza = Super Model
Sheduer = Good looking

This changing a team doesn't take forever see Sean Payton. 3 years takes a team from being 30-52 the previous 5 years to this in 3 years.
3 years.
Mendoza has Super Bowls in his future. I want them with the Browns. don't blow this.
by the way the last time I campaigned this hard for a draft pick it was Joe Thomas.
And we wasted JT's career..

And we wasted JT's career..
That was 2007. at the time the suffering was bad enough I said if the Browns draft some one else I'm done with them. it wasn't a empty promise. I did it back when the Tribe had Joe Carter. I vowed if they didn't sign him no more of my time or money. kept it then.
never though I could pull it off. lol
Now 18 years later smh

In PFF’s latest mock, they project the Giants with the top pick, and they trade down with the Jets at 5.

The price:

Jets receive:
• 1st overall and select Mendoza

Giants receive:
• 5th overall pick
• 37th overall pick
• 2027 1st rounder
• 2027 2nd rounder

Thoughts?

The dream scenario for me at the moment ...
  • Sanders looks the part to the point we're willing to roll with him in 2026
  • We lose out
  • We get the 2nd overall pick
  • We trade back with a QB needy team
  • In doing so, we get a 2026 and 2027 1st rounder
  • We draft Tate and an OT with this year's 1st's
  • And then for 2027, we still have two 1st rounders if we end up "here" again next year.

If Mendoza is there, we take him. If not, it depends on what it would cost us. I'm leaning toward rolling with Sanders rather than competing with the Jets and giving up the farm for Mendoza. I don't know if Sanders is good enough, but I like the kid.

For Mendoza the Farm and the livestock too. The Future

Watson will be back at whatever his 100% is come July. that will be good enough to win the job, my guess. that will be good for both Sanders & Mendoza, to see how it's done. by midseason some team might need a QB. then we could end up with some valuables for Watson. or whatever

So I think this goes one of two ways and I'm fine with either:

We give up 2 firsts and something else and take Mendoza. It all depends on how much the Jets will give up. If we get Mendoza, we patch up the line as best we can - draft or sign a couple of receivers and linemen, and roll with Sanders to start the season. Sanders makes it work and we have a great problem, or he doesn't and Mendoza gets his turn a little early. Then, 2027 draft, when we finally get rid of Watson's contract, we draft offensive linemen are receivers high in the draft and sign free agents and make a run.

We'd be better next year, but probably not deep playoff run contenders. Do we have the patience to play the long game?

Or, we go heavy offensive line and receivers high in this draft, and sign who we can, and draft a QB in the middle rounds (how far will guys like Klubnik fall), and we give Sanders the whole season. Our chances of being a lot better next year would be better. But long term?

I'm not opposed to Browns committing to Sanders as the starter next season. He's fun to watch. I'm pulling for him big time. But damn that Mendoza kid looks like the real deal.
