NFL Draft QB Draft Watch 2026

It seems the Drew Allard hype train has already started. Since I posted yesterday, a guy who's name I've never heard before yesterday.. I've now seen half a dozen articles on him.. just the hype is going to push him into round 2-3.. because he's 6-5 and throws NFL level passes from time to time.. it's just everyone seems to say he comes up small when it matters.. Man.. if you can't come up big in college.. you are not doing it in the NFL. ...So I hope we pass on him.. the price will be too high

Can he say anything else?

100% it's what he has to say.
First snaps at camp will be our first indicator, which like Stefanski, he will downplay, as he should.

It's Sanders job to lose, imho. He flashed, the short lefty didn't. And Watson does have a path to starting, but it's going to take a needle-threading for him to get there. He has to either totally outplay Sanders, or Sanders has to get injured.

Just my bullshit two cents of course.

As we sit here at the end of Feb, I'm hoping for a room of
  • Sanders
  • Watson
  • Allar (as long as he's selected no earlier than the 4th ... which he may not last until then)

I saw Allar speak and he seems shy. If we get him he's going to have to get beat up a bit or toughened up on top of improving his game.

Yeah he's a 4th or 5th but I could see somebody taking him in the 3rd. Just not us. We have other priorities atm.

green?be there in the 5th,but we'd take him (like gabe) in the 3rd, 2 rds early :ROFLMAO:

Grok:

Yeah, Carson Beck has a **strong, long-standing connection** to Todd Monken.

Beck played under Monken at Georgia from 2020-2022, when Monken was the offensive coordinator (and QBs coach). In those years, Beck appeared in 34 games (mostly as a backup/spot starter early on, then more prominently), throwing for over 7,700 yards, 56 TDs, and 18 INTs in that span under Monken's system. Monken helped develop him significantly—Beck has said Monken "taught me a lot of what I know" and called him an "awesome coach and great guy."

Their relationship goes way back beyond college: Beck has known Monken personally since he was about 7 or 8 years old. He played youth baseball with Monken's son back when Monken was the wide receivers coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As for a Natty (national championship) together: They overlapped at Georgia during the Bulldogs' back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022, but Beck wasn't the starter then (Stetson Bennett was). Beck was part of those championship teams/rosters under Monken's offense, though he contributed more in later years.

Recently (at the 2026 NFL Combine), Beck spoke glowingly about Monken again, saying he'd be "super stoked" to reunite and play for him if drafted by the Browns (where Monken is now head coach). No direct "Natty" as QB1 under Monken, but the Georgia success and personal history are big ties—Beck's arm strength, accuracy, and lower-body improvements you mentioned align with the kind of QB Monken has coached/developed successfully (like at Georgia and with Lamar Jackson in Baltimore). Solid foundation there if teams are evaluating him.

Oh yeah he can throw. Accurately? Meh.

But if you need a seed he can do that. A lot like Jackson and Allen when they were in the draft. Strong & inaccurate.
There's also a question of his medicals after his injury.
