Browns Stefanski is gone

Again, if Berry is to blame for the offense, he then gets credit for the defense, kicker, punter, tight ends, RB room, etc.

Ends up, he was right to let Chubb go. Not a popular task.

MKC saying today you can easily make the case we should have been a 9 win team this year, by adding

Bengals week 1
Jets game
Titans game
Bills game

... implying that's how the rest of the league is looking at him. My take? No way Mary Kay. We've all done that math for years, and it doesn't soothe or add-up.

Again, Schwartz built that Defense and lobbied for the players. Had nothing to do with Berry. Berry was the clown that told Hall.of Famer JJ Watt to go fick himself.

But sure, I'll give him credit: He found a kicker and a punter, two of the easiest positions to fill. Kudos.

I also gave him credit: He repeatedly shit all over Paul Brown and the Cleveland Browns by repeatedly signing habitual sex offenders to the roster.

I love Schwartz and he deserves a ton of credit.

But to say Berry had zero to do with the defense goes against what Haslam just said yesterday.

There’s no way to truly know is all I’m saying.

Jon Gruden:

If he can somehow get his legal affairs with the NFL in order, settled and then be reinstated... This would be my first choice. He's from the Area.. He loves Cleveland.. Loves Football and has won it all in Tampa.
I've followed this/him a bit. I don't think the "league" has him on any kind of suspension.

This firing hits a little different, to be honest.

It's the facts we learned AFTER the fact that make it hit so differently. The fact that Stefanski was constantly butting heads with Radio Berry. The fact that Stefanski was completely against the DeRapist Watson trade, didn't want the sex offender on his roster and could see that it would be the worst trade in NFL History. The fact that he was saddled with the after effects of Berry forcing the Watson trade, and despite being against it took the fall for Berry's ineptitude.

What's worse is having to watch as the rest of the NFL see it the exact same way, with numerous teams lining up HC Interviews with Stefanski after the firing. The icing on the cake is Harbaugh, the best HC candidate on the market, laying down a mandate to Haslam that he won't even entertain an interview here unless we agree that he can fire Berry personally and replace him with a competent GM.

I wish the best to Kevin Stefanski. No ill will at all. Cleveland knows you were the fall guy for Dee's latest bull. Here's to a Harbaugh coached Browns going up against a Stefanski coached Giants in the SuperBowl.
