The 2016 NBA Finals Warriors vs. Cavaliers

I'm hesitant to post about this due to superstitions. But, if LeBron and team do it, his mission is complete. If you remember Big Papi getting 3rd place in (Mayoral race if I remember right) votes after the Red Socks won it, LeBron could get 1st place in any vote. That said, the comparison ain't to shabby IMHO...both are great guys.

GS is built as a dynasty, so it'll be a tough game. Steve Kerr HAD to stand by his MVP. No question about it. Just one more game of good shooting & good defense ... maybe some lucky breaks ... and it's a good party a coming.

The whole 'rigged' argument is a copout. It is meant to take away something from the Cavs - respect. Stephen A. Smith, ESPN, is on it too. But, he may need a glass of milk to calm down some :-) Funny guy there.

Go Cavs!

Oh fuck man on Reddit I called out some GS fans during that series for excuse making to receive a train of "Nobody is making excuses, we don't make excuses." replies...

I got to make some nice snarky comments after yesterday lmao.

In baseball, the distances between the bases and home plate are the same. In football, it's still one hundred yards. In basketball, it's still ten feet tall. In golf, it's still driver thru putter. Etc. What's rigged? Wrigley Field has not changed. Football fields are the same but look modern on the outside. Same with basketball. Golf courses actually strive to be just as tough as it's beginning.

I like Cleveland's chances.

I felt like Kyrie deserved the MVP. LeBron did what we expect from him as one of the greatest to ever play the game and one of the best playing right now. Kyrie really stepped up these finals and IMO we don't win this championship without his clutch performance especially the last few games.

It's my turn to eat humble pie because I questioned that we made enough moves in the off-season to address weaknesses, to challenge Golden State. I was wrong.

MMW, shoutout because you said it all along (as indicated by our season-long thread titled "Championship Season").

160+ seasons of waiting to be #1 .. man this great. the darkness of all these years is over. just 2 years ago there was no light at the end of this. our home grown hero came Home with this goal to make History. he wrote this script we got to watch his Play go Broadway all the way to the top. it is beautiful.

thank you LBJ
Go Cavs

2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers

So this is what it's like when the season ends and your Team is the winner of it all. not thinking about.
We need to add some players. draft some better talent. get more pitching. find a new coach. just wait till next year.

This is a day that one wants to never end.

52 years after Jim Brown, LeBron James.
After more than 2 hours I still cannot express my feelings. I've been up all night to watch this game, had a shower and about to go to the office. It's going to be a bright day.
As LeBron said: Cleveland this is for you!!!!!! You deserve it.
I love you Believeland! I really do.

WOW! LBJ is most definitely the MVP, but Kyrie's 3 over the unanimous MVP in Curry was just spectacular.

LBJ had some huge blocks, in particular the last one on Iguadala.

Curry choked plain and simple. He's a poser. The Cavs shut them down in the final 4:30 with some hard ass D!

Can't wait to hear the excuses from Frisco over the next few days.

...to see LBJ just fall to the floor in tears like a baby, (Speights) and the rest of them huddle around him, and Lue just balling too you just feel the weight being lifted.

Cavaliers to stop in Las Vegas

For the players and coaches, the buildup to Cleveland's first title in 52 years started with the playoffs and a "secret trophy" the Cavaliers have been putting together as motivation.

They made a version of the Larry O'Brien championship trophy that they had cut up into 16 pieces. After each playoff victory, a different player or staff member would put a piece in place. The final piece, cut in the shape of Ohio, was put in place by coach Tyronn Lue on Sunday night.

6 hours have gone but I still have that stupid smile on my face.
NBA CHAMPION!
If it's a dream: please don't wake me up!!!!!!!

(If you hear a bang, don't worry: it's just my forehead on the desk...)

Hit the Play button

Finally I have a recording to watch over & over again. yes I watched the whole game again. lol
some takes while in a calmer mind.

How big was Shump's 4 point play ?

We have heard and said They are not using Love correctly. well how does a guy go a + 19 in a 4 point game ?

How happy are we that Green going 11-15 did not shoot 25-30 times ?

Then there's that Super Stingy 4th qtr D again. they did this in the regular season at times.

And Ty making all these different moves with his line up this series.

Kyrie out playing that so called MVP guy.

Kevin Love played a marvellous game last night. He won't be in any highlight but each and every one of his 14 rebounds were crucial.
He's been a real fighter, I admired his fighting in the trenches. Though he was rightfully criticised during this series he was a big part of this championship. tough in the shade.
