The 2016 NBA Finals Warriors vs. Cavaliers

Kevin Love played a marvellous game last night. He won't be in any highlight but each and every one of his 14 rebounds were crucial.
He's been a real fighter, I admired his fighting in the trenches. Though he was rightfully criticised during this series he was a big part of this championship. tough in the shade.

Not to mention K Love had arguably the most important defensive play of the game when he engulfed Steph Curry and caused him to throw up that missed 3, which turned in to the LeBron foul that sealed the deal. I rat bagged his defense all year but dude played his best when it mattered and that's what the great players do.

From this point forth, THIS will forever be known as "The Shot"

What a game, man. What a game. I still can't believe it. As Mad said...It's difficult to figure out how to act or what to think.

I just keep thinking...

FINALLY!!!

Lebron called his shot when he came back....talked the talk.....and walked the walk. Kyrie stepping up like he did. TT was a maniac. K-Love was bodying people up and giving maximum effort. JR hitting some big shots in the 3rd....Shump with the 4 point play......

What a game.

This is cliche', I realize...but i don't care.

Sing it Motherfuckers! Sing it!

I've paid my dues
Time after time.
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime.
And bad mistakes ‒
I've made a few.
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we'll keep on fighting 'til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the world.

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
I thank you all

But it's been no bed of roses,
No pleasure cruise.
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

For the players and coaches, the buildup to Cleveland's first title in 52 years started with the playoffs and a "secret trophy" the Cavaliers have been putting together as motivation.

They made a version of the Larry O'Brien championship trophy that they had cut up into 16 pieces. After each playoff victory, a different player or staff member would put a piece in place. The final piece, cut in the shape of Ohio, was put in place by coach Tyronn Lue on Sunday night.

Lebron called his shot when he came back....talked the talk.....and walked the walk.

I hated LeBron for the way he handled the move to Miami. So I found it kind of hard to welcome him back when he announced his return to The Land. You know, you fool me once shame on you...
I kind of kept each and every of his moves under attention since then and I have to say that he fully made up for that mistake (not leaving Cleveland but doing it that way) since last year's finals. As you very correctly say, he talked the talk (easy thing to do) but he also walked the walk (not a given thing these days). He fought as hard as a player could on a basketball court. He lost 2015 Finals but never had a word of self-excuse (and he had tons of excuses to throw at the haters). He took the loss on his shoulders and proved the haters wrong the next year.
He's a real man before being one of the best players I've ever seen in the game.

The Facts

I hated him for leaving. recorded every heat game only to watch the losses and to see their faces as losers.

But when he came back 2 years ago I understood why he left and glad he did. if he would have stayed he would not have learned how to win it all. he would not have the players to win here if he stayed playing with low round draft picks and worn out aging free agents. as no one wanted to come play in C-town.

He was smarter than most of us.

It was a great parade. It was pure joy, you could feel it, even through a computer screen.
LeBron introduction of his teammates was superb. He actually was very good with a microphone in his hands. I start thinking he's actually good at EVERYTHING!
Funny that both the announcer and LeBron forgot to introduce Channing Frye...
The only thing I did not like was the speech of the County-something (sorry, I did not quite catch his administrative role), the guy with a Cavs T-shirt under his jacket. This guy made a lot of explicit irony on the Warriors and on Curry. Well, my idea of Champion involves being classy you win or you lose. I'm sure all of us made a lot of jokes on Curry after the mouthpiece thing and on his wife tweets during the finals and all jokes were well deserved. But when you're on a stage like that you need to show respect for the opponents, no matter what happened. Thumbs down for this man.
Anyway, I enjoyed three hours plus of watching the Cavs parading in a city I've never been to, but my heart was there cheering with all the clevelanders.
