I did not understand that last post, Ocon!! That's the old jersey, right? Is there a joke in there I'm missing?

I really, really love Browns apparel, but I've always loved the color brown, one of my very favorite. And I love the 1946 Brownie, have it on almost everything. I have a banner with the evolution of logos, from 1946 Brownie to 1950 Brownie... to a freaking orange helmet.

It's cool and weird and distinctive. I get lots of comments on it, almost all positive, because it's specific and speaks to my affiliation.
 
Yep, what F5 said. Ohio has it's first corona virus patients, a.k.a. CoVid19, and they're in NE ohio. It frankly makes sense. Cleveland is wayyy more international than the rest Ohio. I swear every part of the world has a neighborhood in Cleveland.

(snark on) meanwhile Cbus is mostly WASPs (except at Sams Club), Dayton is mostly dirtballs, and Cincy is mostly rednecks.

I posted some helmet designs by fans not long
ago but they all had various degrees of suckage.
All I want is the same helmet but a bit more
metal flake and a glossy sheen to them, no emblem.

Nope, helmet stays the same. Zegura said it's "the helmet is also our logo" problem. Totally unique to us.

It's (somehow for some reason) a bigger deal to change our logo vs change our uniforms, and the brass is sticking with the current logo, thus the current helmet.

If the Haslam's want to add metal flake I'm pretty sure they can. It would be no different than changing the color from burnt orange to whatever metal flake orange.

Like they did a few years back when they wanted to add some "pop". They tweaked the color. Metal flake is merely tweaking the color.
 
All I was talking about was a helmet in the color of the eighties and
Ninety’s just more.........current?, you know like 31 other teams have.

I know you’re hoping for it, but I’d bet money it just stays the same. We went to brown face masks and orangier orange last time, they won’t logo change again ... but who knows!
 
So you're saying there's a chance and the whole "helmet is a logo" problem isn't a real problem at all?

Anyway, the Haslam's can do it if they want. Shiiiiit... Look at what happened to the rams "logo"! They fucked with it to no end and nobody in that organization had any resistance doing it. I'm leaning on the logo problem as PR bullshit, and the Haslam's are fearful of negative press.
